Last year, the Chrysanthos team travelled from Australia to Utah for NCECA… and we quickly realised it’s so much more than ceramics, it’s about people!

NCECA kicks off today in Detroit, and we are devo we can’t be there with you all this year.

But you can still grab a little piece of Chrysanthos magic at the booth with Niki and the girls 💛

Have the best time this week… soak it all in for us.

This stunning colour wheel has been made with 12 of our Underglazes, fired all the way to cone 7.

Featuring:
Chartreuse, Swamp, Jasper (Low Fire), Turquoise, Purple Blue (Low Fire), Viola (Low Fire), Mineral Red, Infrared, Mandarin, Pumpkin, Melon, Citrus.

The best surprise is that even the low fire colours Jasper, Purple Blue, and Viola held up beautifully, well beyond their recommended range.

The outer ring was created using a 2:1 complimentary mix instead of black, resulting in rich, saturated tones that stay bright without losing their vibrancy.

Proof that colour play at higher temperatures can bring some seriously gorgeous results.

After our 10K Giveaway event, so many of you wrote to us saying you’d love to see more new artists being featured - and we completely agree!

We have decided to open an ✨Artist Partnership Program ✨ and to start us off - we are specifically looking for artists with less than 2 years experience using underglazes.

If selected, you’ll receive a kit of 8 x 60mL Chrysanthos Underglaze Colours + an Underglaze pencil for you to create some magic with!

10 NEW Café Color H shades have landed - and they’re all Cone 10 compatible!
That’s right, every single one of these new colors holds their own in high fire.

We fired these test tiles at Cone 7 to bring out their best, but rest assured, they can handle the heat all the way to Cone 10. Whether you’re brushing, layering, or using them as a solid base, these underglazes won’t burn out or wash away.

Plus, like all Café Color H products, they’re ideal for painting straight onto bisque—no need for an extra firing before clear glazing. Just paint, dip glaze, and go. Especially handy for busy studios and paint-your-own-pottery spaces where time (and kiln space) is precious.
