Event Recap|A classroom full of herbal aroma and springtime warmth. 🌿🍵🌸

On April 17, NJUCM’s International Education College hosted a hands-on TCM culture session for 50+ Chinese and international students. Working in teams, students washed, chopped, and simmered ingredients—learning the everyday wisdom of “food as medicine” as the sweet, refreshing scent filled the room. 👩‍🍳✨

What’s more, a mini talk on Grain Rain (Guyu) wellness introduced how to care for the body in late spring, featuring the classic formula—bringing ancient TCM wisdom into daily life. 📚🌧️🍃

The best part? Sharing warm cups of freshly made Five-Juice Drink—and a moment of cross-cultural care in every sip. 🤝💛☕️

Through seasonal wellness and classic formulas, students connected with the warmth of TCM and helped traditional wisdom come alive across cultures. 🌍🌿✨

Event Recap | NJUCM Intangible Cultural Heritage Lacquer Fan Workshop ️🎐🖌️

A master inheritor opened the session with a lively introduction to the history, techniques, and cultural value of lacquer fans (漆扇)—helping students step into the world of China’s intangible cultural heritage.

From mixing lacquer and coloring the fan surface to shaping delicate textures, students followed step-by-step demonstrations. They crafted their own designs—slowly layering colors, adding details, and enjoying the calming scent of lacquer.🌿

The room filled with excitement: “Every fan is one of a kind!”✨

With a fan as the bridge, craftsmanship lives on. We’ll keep hosting hands-on cultural experiences to help more students connect with—and carry forward—the beauty of traditional Chinese culture. 🤝📚
