We are thrilled to successfully wrap up the first-ever TCM Training Program for students from the Vietnam University of Traditional Medicine (VUTM) at NJUCM!🇨🇳🇻🇳

Over two unforgettable weeks, our Vietnamese friends immersed themselves in hands-on TCM practices—like acupuncture, cupping, and pulse diagnosis—while exploring rich Chinese culture.

From learning to sing the Chinese classical song to a beautiful farewell performance in traditional Áo dài, this journey was filled with shared wisdom and deep friendship. 🎶✨

Meet CARRERE RIVERA CAMILLE (柯羽kē yǔ): Bridging Cultures through the Healing Power of !🌿✨

Recently, Camille, our brilliant Colombian master’s student, shined at the 2026 China Health Qigong and Wellness Conference! 👍

Drawn by the holistic philosophy of TCM, she traveled across the globe to study at NJUCM. Camille isn’t just mastering acupuncture in the classroom—she’s making a global impact! From publishing research on Health Qigong in international medical journals to providing free acupuncture treatments for local communities, she is a true cultural ambassador. 🤝

🙌Her ultimate dream? To return to South America after graduation, open her own clinic, and share the wisdom of TCM and Health Qigong with her community.

🌍A 20,000-km Journey for a TCM Dream! ✨

Meet Christina Girardi, a 64-year-old former mayor and congresswoman from Chile, who has taken on a beautiful new role: a TCM doctor! 🩺🌿

Driven by her dream to make TCM accessible in every Chilean public hospital, Christina successfully founded the TCM department at Félix Bulnes Hospital to help ordinary people, especially those in underserved communities.

Recently, she traveled across the globe to NJUCM and our affiliated hospital for a one-month intensive study in acupuncture and clinical practice. 🌿📚

“Watching the senior doctors perform acupuncture is like watching a beautiful dance—it’s an art,” she shared, filling her notebook with detailed sketches of acupoints.

Looking ahead, Christina hopes to establish regular exchanges with NJUCM and bring her entire medical team to Nanjing to learn. We are so proud to support her inspiring mission to improve global health and change lives through TCM! ❤️

Deepening Cooperation and Shared Growth: President Cheng Haibo Leads Delegation to Visit the UK and Attend the 1st Global Alumni Forum🤝🌿

From July 19 to 20, President Cheng Haibo led a delegation to the United Kingdom to attend the 1st Global Alumni Forum of and the European TCM Alumni Union Academic Conference, and to conduct a series of exchange activities. This visit aimed to deepen connections with overseas alumni, gather global alumni wisdom, and jointly chart a new chapter for the inheritance, innovation, and internationalized development of TCM.

➡️In his speech, President Cheng reviewed the university’s history and development achievements, stating that NJUCM is embracing the world with a more open attitude and continuously expanding the international influence of TCM higher education. He hoped that through this forum, global alumni power would be further united, academic exchanges would be promoted, and joint efforts would be made to push the overseas inheritance of TCM to new heights.

Prof. Tang Shulan, Chair of the NJUCM European Alumni Association, thanked her alma mater for its long-term support and stated that the association will continue playing its role as a bridge, gathering the strength of European alumni and boosting the high-quality development of TCM overseas.🌍

Themed “Inheritance, Innovation, Cooperation, and Development,” the forum brought together over 100 alumni representatives, industry experts, and scholars from the UK, the US, Canada, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Australia, and other countries. Attendees renewed friendships, shared academic innovation achievements, and engaged in discussions on clinical practices and research explorations of TCM.

During the visit, President Cheng and his delegation also visited King’s College London. The two sides exchanged views on talent cultivation and overseas talent recruitment, reaching several cooperative intentions.

This UK trip further strengthened ties between NJUCM and its overseas alumni and laid a solid foundation for the university’s academic exchanges and cooperation in Europe. 🚀🌿

President Cheng Haibo Leads Delegation to Visit WHO Headquarters and SWISS TCM UNI

🙌 From July 20 to 22, President Cheng Haibo led a delegation to Switzerland to visit the WHO Headquarters and SWISS TCM UNI. The visit aimed to further expand ’s collaborative network with international organizations and in overseas education, as well as to promote the in-depth global cooperation and high-quality development of . The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Kim Sungchol, Head of the WHO Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCIM) Unit, and other key officials. 🌿

➡️ President Cheng expressed his gratitude to WHO for its guidance and support regarding the work of NJUCM as one of the WHO Collaborating Centres for Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine. He stated that NJUCM, as a leading institution of higher education in TCM in China, has always regarded promoting the international spread of TCM and global collaboration in traditional medicine as a crucial mission. Looking to the future, the university expects to further deepen practical cooperation with WHO and jointly promote traditional medicine to play a greater role in the global health governance system.

Dr. Kim Sungchol welcomed President Cheng and his delegation, fully affirming the outstanding achievements made by NJUCM.

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the university’s fulfillment of its functions as one of the WHO Collaborating Centres and the expansion of TCM’s international influence.

President Cheng Haibo and Prof. Li Yiming, Rector of SWISS TCM UNI, also exchanged views and signed a MoU, marking a substantive new stage in cooperation across TCM education, research, and cultural exchange.🤝

🚀This trip serves as an important measure for NJUCM to actively connect with international organizations and deepen its overseas cooperation network. In the future, NJUCM will continue to uphold openness, inclusiveness, and mutual learning, and promote the spread and development of TCM on the international stage.

Irish Students Explore Chinese Language and Culture in Nanjing “Chinese Bridge” Summer Camp✨

🙌From June 7 to 16, 2026, twelve students from Confucius Institute of Chinese and Regenerative Medicine at the University of Galway joined the “Chinese Bridge” Summer Camp in Nanjing, co-organized by and the Confucius Institute at the University of Galway.

During the 10-day journey, participants immersed themselves in Chinese language learning, traditional medicine, and cultural exploration. They practiced conversational Chinese in real-life settings, discovered the wisdom of TCM through hands-on herbal medicine and wellness workshops, and experienced paper-cutting, opera, weaving, and lacquer crafts.👍🌿

Field trips to landmarks like the Nanjing Museum, Qinhuai River, and Classical Gardens of Suzhou offered deeper insights into Chinese history, art, and everyday life.

The program created a vibrant platform for China-Ireland youth exchange, helping the students experience a living, breathing China—and bringing the two cultures even closer through language, learning, and friendship. 🤝❤️

Exploring Knowledge, Building Friendship: U.S.–China Youth Exchange at ✨

From May 25 to June 7, 2026, thirteen students and faculty members from Bemidji State University (USA) visited NJUCM for a two-week cultural and academic exchange program. It was a journey of learning, discovery, and friendship.

The American participants—mostly from health-related majors—explored through hands-on experiences: practicing tai chi and qigong, making herbal sachets, and learning about acupuncture, massage, and herbal medicine. For many, it was their first encounter with a holistic view of health, blending nature, balance, and the human body.🌿

Cultural activities and field trips offered a window into traditional Chinese aesthetics, while visits to Nanjing’s historical and cultural sites, deepened their understanding of Chinese history and cultural heritage.❤️

Beyond the lessons and sightseeing, true connections formed. Chinese and American students shared everyday stories, cultural surprises, and heartfelt conversations that continued long after returning home.🤝
