THE APPLICATION PROCESS
========================

So you've finally decided on the course you want to study and the school you want to go to, so what comes next ?
Here is a simple breakdown of the application process with SAVVY, ill try not to bore you with unnecessary details, only the essentials!
Ni hao!

step 1. Get Certified copies of your High school results, The front page of your passport and 2 Recommendation letters! We do this to make sure that everyone coming through us has earned their place!

Step. 2 Attach our application forms then scan and send! We will not agree to photos of results or pictures ..... You expect quality from us and for that we need to be professional!

Step 3 : The final step ; We will mail you the acceptance letter and the Visa forms for the embassy via DHL with a tracking number.
At this point you are pretty much 60% through with your application!

PICKING THE RIGHT SCHOOLS AND CITIES IN CHINA!
=============================================


As you consider China as your priority location for your University education, Here are some points to consider ;

1. Be careful on the schools you pick, Not all schools are as they appear online or on pictures. It never hurts to ask around, so see if people have been there and what they think of the school. Feel free to ask a consultant to help you ..... Its a descent place to start.

2. Choose your location carefully most 1st Tier cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen are expensive cities and not very economical for a students budget! My advice ? Go for a 3rd Tier city like Nanchang or Shenyang!

3. Make sure your Guardians or sponsors are able to afford the fees as outlined by the school, do not count on scholarships or be misled by Agents into studying at a school based off of a partial scholarship ......

4. Pick a school and location that will allow you to learn both inside and outside the classroom, Immerse yourself in the culture, i can rest assure you that its worthwhile!!

5. Culture shock and Weather Intolerance are serious, Especially if you're asthmatic or have other respiratory conditions, we advise you to avoid northern China! Places like Hebei, Beijing, Dalian and inner Mongolia have temperatures getting as low as -15 degrees Celsius (Sniff* Sniff*)

STUDYING IN CHINA!!

Whats it like ?, What are the people like ?, what about the language ?

These are some of the questions that once raced through the minds of most people that considered China as their choice for University Studies.

This post is designed to help answer those questions and also maybe convince you to join the band wagon of Sino Graduates!

1.) As far as education in China is concerned, we recommend that students attend Government institutions and not private Universities, This is very Important. Take note! Government Institutions are properly accredited and have the reputations to back their words, that way you are guaranteed that your papers are recognized and deemed worthwhile across the world.

2.Most schools here follow a semester calendar, with exams regularly held at the end of each semester. Assessments are also conducted during the semester. 2 semesters per Academic year with vacations in the winter and Summer!

3. Its no secret that Mandarin is not among the easiest languages, what is is the fact that there are so many people out there that can speak really well after training! Some schools have programs in English but for all our students we recommend that you learn the language and study using the dialect! Make the most out of yourr stay here.

4. The learning experience ? Simply amazing , you have great people, Amazing schools and to top it all off a cultural melting point where you interact with people from different countries and walks of life to prepare you for the world tomorrow.
