The Office for Student and Alumni Affairs (OSAA) is recruiting student volunteers for the upcoming USJ Orientation Programme 2026/2027. When the new academic year begins, a group of new students will join the USJ family. They will need our support and assistance to familiarize themselves with the campus, understand campus life, and prepare for the start of classes. For international students, they also face the challenge to adapt quickly to the new environment. As their seniors, you are the best guides for them. Your enthusiasm, experience, and support will provide them with the warmest welcome.

USJ International Students Explore Shenzhen and Dongguan

A two-day educational and cultural tour took place on 15 to 16 May, 2026, bringing together USJ students and staff from the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAA) for an immersive journey through Shenzhen and Dongguan. The tour, sponsored by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), offered participants—all international students and first-time visitors to the two cities—a unique window into China’s rich cultural heritage, cutting-edge technology, and modern visual arts.

為期兩天的 “聖若瑟大學大灣區考察交流團 - 深圳東莞” 於2026年5月15日至16日舉行，聖若瑟大學學生及校友事務處職員帶領一眾學生深入探索大灣區城市——深圳與東莞。活動由教育及青年發展局贊助，所有參與的學生均為首次到訪深圳與東莞國際生，藉此旅程一窺中國豐富的文化遺產、尖端科技及現代視覺藝術。

USJ Staff and Students Participated in the “Chinese People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison Taipa Barracks Open Day”

The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) delegation participated in the “Chinese People’s Liberation Army Macao Garrison Taipa Barracks Open Day” on 30 April 2026. The open day included a military training demonstration, equipment display, training experience, and a visit to the military exhibition hall. In addition to observing the professionalism and dedication of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Macao Garrison, USJ is aimed to deepen the participants’ understanding of national security and cultivate the university student’s patriotism and knowledge through this visit.
A national flag-raising ceremony was held at 9:30 in the morning. After the formal ceremony, the participants enjoyed the demonstration of military exercises, such as combat and anti-terrorist drills, and cultural performances. The participants were inspired by the good military quality and wonderful fighting style of the Chinese soldiers.

聖大組織師生參觀「中國人民解放軍駐澳門部隊氹仔軍營開放日」學生專場

為增進師生對中國人民解放軍駐澳門部隊的認識，聖若瑟大學組織教職員及學生，一行前往中國人民解放軍駐澳門部隊氹仔軍營參觀。是次活動內容設有軍需展示、訓練體驗及參觀軍事展覽館等。在近距離觀察我國軍人的專業和奉獻精神的同時，聖大透過活動加深非本地學生對國防的認識，培養愛國愛澳情懷，凝聚師生正能量。

第廿十次軍營開放活動，於四月三十日上午九時半展開。在參與莊嚴的升旗禮後，學生先後觀賞駐軍部隊訓練剪影，儀仗槍械表演、無人機編隊飛行、綜合格鬥術、遠程精準狙擊、反恐戰術行動等。展現了中國軍人優秀的的軍事素質和奮不顧身的戰鬥作風。

AAUSJ Clutural Tour - Guizhou
Dates: June 3-7, 2026 (5 days)

- Visit Guizhou Normal University and attend the important ceremony of the signing of a cooperation agreement between USJ and its sister university.
- Vist the FAST (Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope) and the National Data Center.
- Visit the Digital Art Museum - Red Ribbon, will take participants on a technological journey through the history of the Red Army.
- Visit old town(Dali Village) and night market(Qingyun Market), gaining a deeper understanding of the life and culture of the people of Guizhou.

All USJ alumni are welcome to register! Join faculty, staff and students to personally experience the nation's technological development and historical and cultural charm in Guizhou!

USJ Organises Visit to National Security Education Exhibition for Staff and Students

Staff and students from the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) visited the National Security Education Exhibition on the 21st April, 2026. The exhibition titled “Coordinating Development and Security: Safeguarding the New Journey of the 15th Five-Year Plan” was composed of the prologue and five thematic sections. The purpose of the event was to provide our staff and students with different perspectives and a deeper understanding of the concept and significance of comprehensive national security.

Dr. Alejandro Salcedo Garcia, Acting Rector of USJ, led the delegation on the visit, with the support of Ms. Evonne Chiu, President of the General Assembly of the USJ Alumni Association (AAUSJ), and Mr. Addy Chan, Chairman of the Executive Committee of AAUSJ . Over 60 USJ participants attended the exhibition at the The Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. During the event, the participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the meaning of national security, their roles, and their potential contributions through guided explanations, interactive games, and video presentations. Besides students from mainland China and Macao, there were international students from Africa and Southeast Asia. It provided an opportunity for international students from different regions to learn about the importance of national security in Macao and promote cross-cultural understanding and learning among faculty and students.

聖大組織師生參觀全民國家安全教育展

聖若瑟大學於本年四月廿一日參觀「全民國家安全教育展」。本次展覽以「統籌發展和安全 護航十五五新征程」為題，共分為序章和五個專題部分。活動吸引逾六十人參與，本校旨為透過活動，讓參與教職員及學生以不同方式、視角，深入認識和領會總體國家安全觀的內涵和重大意義。

聖若瑟大學代校長蘇輝道博士於上午十二時，率領一眾教職員及學生，同時在聖大校友會會員大會招霞主席、陳桂舜理事長的支持下，前往澳門孫逸仙大馬路中國與葡語國家商貿合作服務平台綜合體。活動期間，在導賞員的講解中，參與者充分從展板內容、互動遊戲區以及影片介紹等，全面了解國家安全的意義，以及自身在國家安全所擔當的角色和可發揮的作用。出席活動的同學中，包括來自非洲及東南亞國家的國際生，藉此機會讓各地學生在澳認識國家安全重要性的同時，也能促進師生間跨文化的理解及學習交流。
