Tenwest Language School TenWest thinks language learning should be fun and interesting and not like taking a test. We teach English and Chinese using native speakers.

TenWest is a private language immersion school that provides Mandarin Chinese Education for international students and English Language Education for native Chinese speakers. The school is located in "The Spring City," the affectionate name given to Kunming. Founded in 2006, TenWest has quickly become one of the most trusted schools of its kind in Yunnan Province. It is one of a handful of private

schools in Kunming licensed to teach Chinese as a second language to international students and provide student visas to all international students. Through many years of outstanding performance, TenWest has earned students’ and parents’ trust and support. We've won a couple of awards too. Many of our English language students have gone on to study in English speaking universities across the globe. We think you will find that TenWest is much more than a language school. Our teachers often act more as facilitators than traditional teachers, and our headmaster, Albert Yang, can often be seen chatting with students or taking them out to lunch. • Intensive Chinese for all skill levels
• Intensive Chinese utilizing the Total Physical Response (TPR) and Growing Participator Approach (GPA) methods
• Business Chinese
• Survival Chinese (four week course)
• Part-time classes
• Online Mandarin
• In-home Mandarin instruction
• Mandarin for children ages 5-16
• Special subjects instruction in calligraphy, Chinese history, Chinese chess and various Chinese musical instruments
• HSK Test Preparation Courses. Chinese cultural activities

• During every Chinese festival we will hold a special party, to let our students experience the unique cultural practices of China
• Various other Chinese cultural activities including 说吧, the name for TenWest's "Chinese Language Corner," which is held every Wednesday evening at 7:15 PM and is open to the public. Other services offered

• Dependent visas for student family members also can be arranged
• Accommodation assistance can be provided for all of our students
• Free coffee and drinks
• Airport pick-up
• Use of TenWest address as mailing address. (We will also arrange delivery with Chinese shipping companies.)
• Concierge services such as online shopping, purchasing airline tickets, travel information, and other needs that students might have.
