It is an art rich in history that has roots in creating freedom. Today Capoeira offers a workout, community, acrobatics, discipline, cardio, strength, history, culture and music to those willing to give it a try! Capoeira Ligeira ASCAB China is run by Professor Alemão under the direction from Mestre Doutor, head of the American Society of Capoeira and Arts from Brazil (ASCAB) and ContraMestre Dentista of GUC. The name Ligeira means quick and is inspired by the need to be both quick in understanding and in reaction while practicing this art. Capoeira Ligeira ASCAB China is taught by Professor Alemao who has trained for 7 years and taught for three. He received his Estagiario cordao (teaching rank) after training under Mestre Doutor and ContraMestre Dentista and previously under Mestre Lazaro. During his training he has traveled the world and introduced Capoeira to many people who had no knowledge of the art. Estagiario Alemão's goal is to introduce Capoeira to as many as he can and grow the Capoeira community. It is with this ideal that he is bringing Capoeira to Jinan China.
