Accommodation is included. 12-month contracts guarantee a minimum of 20 hours per week, meaning that if the teacher is only given 15 lessons to teach
, they will still be paid for 20, and if the teacher is offered a 21st lesson that will be considered overtime and paid on top of the contracted amount. There are also an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, and a monthly full attendance bonus (500 RMB just for having attended all rostered lessons!). With minimal living costs, Joy foreign usually save most of their earnings. Joy English School Harbin and Shenyang contracts include paid holidays in line with China's National Holiday Schedule (~42 days per year) giving ample time for travel within and outside of China.
