Muslims prayer facing the direction of the Ka’bah has nothing to do with the structure of the Ka’bah, rather it has to do with its location. If it were to be destroyed, Muslim would still pray in that direction, not to that structure.

Hence we find that nowadays Muslims pray on the second storey and on the roof of the Grand Mosque in the Sanctuary of Makkah, facing the direction of the Ka’bah even though it is not directly in front of them. This is what millions of Muslims do throughout the world, praying in the direction of the Ka’bah even though they cannot see it. This demonstrates the great difference between the laws of Islam and the actions of the mushrikeen (polytheists) whose worship of their idols, stones and trees ceases when these objects cease to exist. Therefore if the mushrik cannot see his object of worship or idol, he does not face the direction of that thing.

The new semester begins from February 17th and class for degree students starts from 20, 2017. Class for Chinese language students starts March 7.

Dear all students,
There won’t be enough rooms for all international students next term, so if you want to continue to live in the International Students Dormitory, please come to the office to have a room reservation before June 19th. If you miss the deadline, you cannot get the refund this semester.
Once you have a room reservation, you are allowed to move out during the semester, otherwise you should pay for the dormitory fee as a short-term students and it costs 80 yuan/day/room, so please think twice before you make a decision.
If you want to live outside next semester, please come to the office to APPLY FOR OFF-CAMPUS ACCOMMODATION. Otherwise the students shall accept the consequences by themselves.
Furthermore, all students should inform us whether you will live in the campus during winter holiday, so that we could arrange short-term students.
