big hunt for dog yesterday evening. Where could she be? Gate open? No.Check favourite spots in the garden, by the front gate, by the garage wall and greenhouse, beside the veggie bed? No! Ah but wait, she must be in the rhododendron patch where all our other old dogs went when they were really tired. So down to rhodies, wave torch around, call, tap dinner bowl. Whistle.
No dog!
Oh well, I'll go and sort out her bed to get it ready for when she does decide to come home.
What is this?
In bed?
blankets ruffled.
Who but Dog! fast asleep.

glorious coriander seedlings coming through big time. Basil doing well. Celery nice, caulis okay, cabbages a bit slow. And am hunting for where did I put the courgettes? they're usually beginning to show up about now. And oh boy! you should see the weeds!

rain, rain, go away! I've just put in some delicate seeds - will this downpour have washed them out of the ground?
