This year, WIS Grade 3 students journeyed through their Unit of Inquiry on Migration.

Through inquiry, reflection, and hands-on exploration, they didn’t just learn about the world —
they learned how to see it, question it, and make sense of it.

WIS Sports Day 2026 was a vibrant celebration of growth, grit, and sportsmanship! Our four teams—Discoverers, Voyagers, Innovators, and Pioneers—came together to run, laugh, and compete with joy. ✨

Exciting news from the WIS community! Eleven PYP students have earned their places at the 2026 SPBCN (Spelling Bee) National Finals following an outstanding performance at the Hangzhou City Finals. Among them, Youyou Chen (Grade 1) secured 2nd place citywide, while Nicole Zhao (Grade 2) claimed 3rd place. In the Grades 1-2 division, WIS students claimed 8 of the top 15 spots — more than 50% of the leaderboard. We celebrate not only their achievement but also the journey that brought them here — countless hours of reading, curious questions, supportive teachers, and a school community that values intellectual growth.

Beyond Testing: WIS Summative Assessment

At Wahaha International School, summative assessment is far more than a high-stakes finale where a single grade determines success. Week Without Walls!
Our MYP students embraced every moment of their adventure in Huangshan, from conquering 20km of trekking and cycling to participating in immersive cultural workshops and lantern parades in historic Hongcun. It was an incredible journey of teamwork and discovery that blended high-energy sports with deep cultural connections far beyond the classroom walls. 🏔️✨
