We just hit the mid-semester mark here at MiC Hangzhou! Fall Break is almost here!

Thanks to funding from Middlebury College's Office of Sustainability Integration and support from The Nature Conservancy, we have been able to venture into a rural village on the outskirts of Hangzhou over the past few semesters. Its not everyday that we get to sit down and chat in Chinese with local government officials, hear about water quality protection, learn about how local economics can coincide with sustainability, and get invited to villagers' homes to interview them about their everyday life.
