Alisha Neale
Alisha is one of our most senior teachers and holds the tile of Senior Teacher. She has been working for EF Hangzhou and Huzhou since 2015. Her passion for teaching is evident by how much her students adore her. Originally from Canada, not only does Alisha teach a second language to kids, she herself has learnt a language since coming out here and i must say, her Chinese is very good 😀.
Question: How many years have you been working in EF? How do you like it here?
I have been working here for over 5 years. I enjoy it here, there are ups and downs, but it is a good company to gain experience.
Question: Where is your favorite hangout place in Hangzhou? Any recommendation for other teachers?
One of my favorite places to hangout in Hangzhou is Anna’s Nails. I go at least twice a month. I enjoy getting my nails done. It is relaxing. The technicians there are rally professional and they are able to do a lot of different designs. There hasn’t been any design they can’t do.
Qusetion: You’ve been in China for quite some time now, what has been keeping you here?
I have created a life here which keeps me here. I have my friends which have turned into my “China family”. It is hard thing to pack up your life. But if you create a life for yourself it becomes a good place to live. I learnt the language, so it is easier to travel around. Overall, your experience is what you make it to be, if you don’t push yourself out of your comfort zone then you won’t get anything out of it. Neale
