➡️At the “Dreaming in Zhejiang, Singing for the Future” Chinese song competition in Hangzhou, our international IECers stood out among 250+ contestants from 41 universities.

👏Representing our university with 11 students and 7 songs, HENDSUN (Indonesia) and CHINHARA KUDZAISHE AUBREY EMMANUEL (Zimbabwe) advanced to the finals and won First Prize with a powerful rendition of “I Love You, China”, impressing the judges with clear pronunciation, strong stage presence, and heartfelt expression.👍 🥳

Tea as a Bridge, Chinese as a Light!🤝🌿

On April 21, 2026, International students from and Zhejiang University ( ) gathered at the China Tea Museum in Hangzhou to celebrate the 17th International Chinese Language Day—with Longjing tea aroma in the air and Chinese as their shared language.

🙌With a fun “task card” in hand, everyone explored tea history, stepped into tea gardens and workshops, learned key points of tea picking and processing, and practiced Chinese along the way. At the West Lake Longjing Harvest Tea Gathering, they tasted teas from classic brews to creative new drinks, sharing flavors and feelings across cultures.🍃🫖

In the closing circle, students from 14 countries introduced their favorite teas, retold tea legends, and connected tea traditions in their home countries with Chinese wellness culture—turning one cup of tea into a warm moment of understanding and friendship. 🤝✨

🙌Clarivate has released the March 2026 Essential Science Indicators (ESI) update, and has achieved a major breakthrough in discipline development:

· Pharmacology & Toxicology has entered the global Top 1‰, marking its step into the world’s leading tier.👍
· Neuroscience & Behavior has newly entered the global Top 1%.✨

With these additions, ZCMU now has 8 disciplines in the ESI global Top 1%, ranking tied for 2nd among TCM universities in Chinese Mainland:

➡️Progression & Growth: After a year of dedicated study, 54 students completed the preparatory stage and advanced to the 2025 Clinical Medicine Spring Undergraduate cohort, marking a new chapter in their academic journey.🎓📚

➡️Respect for Life: At the “Silent Teacher” remembrance ceremony, Chinese and international students honored body donors and reflected on gratitude, medical ethics, and the responsibility behind learning medicine.🤍🌼

➡️Peer Learning in Practice: Student-led workshops—such as suturing training—helped turn classroom knowledge into practical skills through mentoring, teamwork, and focused practice.🩺🤝

🚀Through these three pillars, the program strengthens international students’ academic foundation, professional ethics, and real-world clinical readiness. Social Practice I is back at ZCMU! 🌏✨

On April 3, 2026, our international undergrads kicked off a new round of Social Practice I at Dongxin Community—a course that helps students step off campus, connect with locals, and experience China up close.

Highlights:
🙌Traditional incense-making—learn the story, then craft your own incense tablet by hand.
♻️ Fun waste-sorting activities—bilingual tips, interactive games, and some students even joined the community’s International Eco-Volunteer team!

On March 28, five international ZCMUers—from Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, and the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville)—joined 3,000 runners at the 10th Hangzhou Binjiang “Cherry Blossom Run” 🎉🌸
