Hangzhou Normal University-Chinese University

The first editorial board meeting of 《Brain Science and Child Development》(BSCD) was held at our university, with top scholars from home and abroad participating online and offline. The meeting clarified the journal's positioning, established a high-level editorial board, and conducted academic exchanges, laying a solid foundation for the launch of this English international journal.

According to ESI data from Jan 2015 to Aug 2025, Hangzhou Normal University’s Computer Science entered the top 1% globally for the first time. Its top - 1% ESI disciplines rose to 16, ranking first among provincial universities. Five disciplines entered the top 5‰, the university ranked 1216th in ESI with 312 top papers.

Our university participated in the 2025 World Chinese Language Conference, during which it signed a tripartite cooperation agreement on international Chinese education with partners. This participation and signing demonstrate the university's active attitude in the field of international Chinese education, laying a foundation for deepening cooperation in this field and supporting educational internationalization.

The 2025 Suzhou-Hangzhou Dual-City Dialogue on Humanistic Economics was held. With the theme of "Humanistic Economics and Value Pursuit in the AI Era", relevant personnel from Suzhou and Hangzhou gathered to discuss in depth and explore new paths for the development of humanistic economics, pooling ideas for its development.

Wu Zhenyu, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, conducted a research at our university. After visiting relevant venues, a forum was held where he affirmed the university's united front work achievements and put forward work requirements. Yang Zheng, Deputy Party Secretary of the university, gave a report. The university will transform the research results to promote the high-quality development of united front work and serve local construction.

Students from our university achieved remarkable results again in the 8th Zhejiang Provincial College Students Network and Information Security Competition. With solid professional foundation and excellent practical ability, the participants strived hard, demonstrating strong security literacy and teamwork spirit, winning honors for the university and reflecting the fruitful achievements of talent training in related disciplines.

The final of the 34th "Polaris" Recitation Competition of our university concluded. Ten student teams stood out after selections, conveying family and country feelings as well as youthful responsibilities through classic recitations. The widely concerned event awarded prizes at all levels. As a campus cultural brand, it helps cultivate students' humanistic literacy and ideals.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic relations, the "Zhejiang-Thailand Higher Education Cooperation Matchmaking Conference" was held at our university's Cangqian Campus. Representatives of universities from both sides attended and delivered speeches, exchanging views on discipline collaboration and talent training to deepen practical cooperation, injecting impetus into the internationalization of higher education and China-Thailand friendship.

The kick-off meeting for the 2025 major National Social Science Fund project in Education, "Research on Enhancing the Overall Effectiveness of the Higher Education Innovation System" hosted by Professor Huang Zhaoxin from our university, was held with over 30 experts participating. Focusing on improving the effectiveness of the higher education innovation system, the project was affirmed by experts who put forward suggestions on theoretical construction and comparative research. The university will fully support the project.

Professor Zhu Yutian’s team from our university, collaborating with Professor Liu Zunfeng from Nankai University, developed the single-electrode coaxial nanoyarn TENG, overcoming limitations of traditional fabric-based TENG. The achievement was published in 《Advanced Functional Materials》(IF:19), showing application potential in multiple scenarios like intelligent interaction.

Among similar majors at universities across China, the English major of Hangzhou Normal University ranks top 2. Our university relies on key laboratories and industrial resources, and has maintained leading strength in scientific research and teaching.
