Zhejiang Sci-Tech University-Chinese University

The 2025 International Symposium on Metaverse, AI and Fashion was held in Keqiao, Shaoxing. Yao Juming, Vice President of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, delivered a speech. Focusing on the integration of technology and fashion, the symposium shared multi-dimensional achievements, reached development consensuses and facilitated cooperation. As the first event of the university’s International Academic Week of Fashion and Technology, it boosts the digital transformation of the industry.

The "Zhejiang Sci-Tech Face-to-Face" teacher-student exchange activity was held at the 1897 Café in the Student Activity Center of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University's Xiasha Campus. Party Secretary Zhao Quanjun had in-depth talks with 9 student representatives from 8 ethnic groups on academic planning, cultural integration and other topics, gave high praise, put forward three hopes, and presented custom bookmarks and books. Presided over by Miao Lujia, the activity ended with a lunch that narrowed the emotional distance between teachers and students.

The 2025 Annual Conference on the Integrated Construction of Cultural Quality Education in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Schools and the "Red Culture Inheritance Alliance" co-hosted by the School of Science, Technology and Art of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University was held at Shaoxing Lu Xun Memorial Hall. Featuring academic exchanges and field research, its related work case won a national typical case award, promoting the in-depth integration of ideological and political education and cultural education.

Li Shuping, an alumna of the 1988 Industrial Foreign Trade Class of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and President of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Vientiane Branch, returned to her alma mater. Yao Jun, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, met with her. Yao introduced the university's development momentum, emphasized the value of alumni and expected deeper cooperation. Li recalled her school days, shared her career experience, and expressed pride in the alma mater's development. Before the forum, she visited the university's Silk Museum, accompanied by relevant responsible persons of the School of Economics and Management.

The 2025 Working Conference of the Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party was held at our university. Miao Lujia, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, delivered a speech, and Wang Xiaowei presided over the meeting. The conference studied the spirit of relevant plenary sessions, summarized the 2025 work, arranged 2026 key tasks, discussed issues such as industry-university-research cooperation, and built an exchange platform to boost the high-quality development of relevant undertakings in Zhejiang.

Zhejiang Sci-Tech University's 2025 "Jiansheng Cup" Top 10 College Students Selection was held in Xiasha. Miao Lujia, Fei Tianwen and others served as judges. 16 candidates showed achievements in scientific research and service; 10 including Chen Weixin got recommendation, inspiring students to strive.

The annual summary, commendation and new member training of the "Hongyan Qingfeng" Postgraduate & Doctoral Propaganda Group of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University was held at Xiasha Campus. Miao Lujia, Deputy Party Secretary of the university, put forward expectations. The event included awards, tutor appointment, publicity exchanges and special training, injecting momentum into the high-quality development of the propaganda group.

Wang Yuping (alumnus of Dyeing and Finishing major, Class 1993) and Ma Tingfang (alumnus of Silk major, Class 1989) returned to our university. University leaders met and communicated with them. Secretary Zhao Quanjun introduced the university's development and affirmed the alumni's achievements. Wang Yuping shared his enterprise's cross-border breakthrough. Both sides were willing to deepen cooperation. The alumni also visited on-campus venues.

The 2025 Red Dot Design Concept Award results were announced. "Smile Chair" by the teacher-student team led by Xu Le from our university's School of Art and Design stood out among nearly 10,000 global entries and won the award. Integrating calligraphy and natural philosophy, the work reflects the college's "promoting learning through competitions" achievement, which will continue to deepen teaching reform and support Chinese design going global.

Dinesh Surup, Vice Chancellor of the University of Mauritius, led a "Chinese Bridge" educators' delegation to visit our university. Both sides reviewed the achievements of the jointly-built Confucius Institute and exchanged views on personnel exchanges, academic and scientific research cooperation. The delegation visited the campus and venues, deepening China-Mauritius educational and cultural exchanges.

On November 19th, the Xiasha Campus of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University held the 5th "Top 10 Graduate Students" Selection. Twenty candidates demonstrated their outstanding performances in scientific research, competitions and other fields, played an exemplary role, and promoted the all-round development of graduate students.
