Meet Chen Junyi, Class of 2026 in Mechanical Engineering at ZJUI. A three-time National Scholarship recipient, UIUC Bronze Tablet honoree and Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding Graduate, he carved his own path in mechanics one question at a time.

For him, engineering is as much about people as about equations, a belief reflected in his roles as class president, rural voluntary teacher, and national competition winner.

He will advance his studies at the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhejiang University, charting his own steady, purpose-driven path in the discipline.

Meet Zhu Haoyu, Class of 2026 in Electrical Engineering at ZJUI. Top grades didn't define his calling. Driven by a passion for intelligent computing and optimization, he made his shift from Civil Engineering to Electrical Engineering.

“Growth isn’t about staying on one track, it’s about curiosity, courage, and knowing when to pivot.”

Meet Yang Shu, Class of 2026 in Mechanical Engineering at ZJUI. He maintains a keen appreciation for beauty in everyday life and sees fluid mechanics as art, vortices and droplets as nature’s visible poetry.

“Where there are no standard answers, stay passionate and keep exploring.”

This fall, he carries that philosophy to Yale, where he will pursue a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, as the next journey guided by beauty, balance, and the courage to venture.
