Starting a new school can feel scary. For Ethan, Grade 2, that feeling changed the moment he arrived.
Before the day even began, Mr. Baker was already waiting at the door to welcome him in. A small moment that made AISG feel like family.

For the past two years, Eddie Liang’s Monday morning “Mehhhhh 🐏” echoed through AISG’s Science Park campus, sparking smiles (and imitations!) from Lower Secondary students. While playful, Eddie is all focus when it comes to his goals — pursuing a double degree in Business Administration and Industrial Engineering. His journey taught him a simple truth: rankings don’t define you. Thanks for the memories, Eddie — next stop: fun, fun, fun! 🎓✨

Every story begins with a first. The story of the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG) is no different.
Before the milestones, achievements, and impact, there were first days, first classrooms, first friendships, and first moments.
For 45 years, those beginnings have shaped our school, our learning, our community, and the impact we continue to make together.
As AISG prepares to celebrate 45 years, we’re inviting our community to look back on where their story began.
What was your AISG first?

AISG was honored to welcome Mrs. Purdue, the first wife of a U.S. Ambassador to China to ever visit our campus! As the nationwide Goodwill Ambassador for AmCham China’s America 250 Essay Contest, she inspires students to explore history, culture, and the U.S.–China relationship through the power of writing.
Accompanied by Dr. Harley Seyedin and James Zimmerman, Mrs. Purdue shared insights, introduced the contest, and brought a global perspective our Rams won’t forget. AISG was the only school in South China she visited — proof of our excellence, engagement, and meaningful connections.
