⭐️ Hello! I’m Grizzly.🐻
Yes—that Grizzly. The grizzly bear mascot you see around CIS every day.
Everyone knows me. Everyone likes me. But if I’m being honest, I’ve always felt a little lonely.
Sometimes I envy Mickey Mouse. He has Donald Duck, Goofy, and an entire Disney universe by his side. Meanwhile, it was just me.
So when the teachers from the CIS Mandarin Department told me, “Grizzly, you’re about to have companions—and you’re going on an adventure to the East!” I could barely contain my excitement.
What happened next was something truly magical.
I stopped being just a mascot and became part of a world imagined and created by CIS students—a world filled with culture, creativity, curiosity, and heart.
They gave me friends. They introduced me to vibrant traditions and folk customs. They guided me through stories that have journeyed across thousands of years of Chinese history. Through their imagination, artistry, and craftsmanship, they transformed ideas into characters, adventures, and a living world of possibilities.
But this project became more than a collection of stories.
It became a celebration of learning.
Because education is not simply about finding the right answers. It is about discovering new perspectives, exploring big ideas, and having the courage to create something that has never existed before.
The students didn’t just learn about culture—they brought it to life. They didn’t just follow a story—they became storytellers.
And thanks to them, I am no longer alone.
I now have friends, adventures, and an amazing world to call my own.
I can’t wait to share it with you. Welcome to Grizzly’s amazing new world—where imagination meets culture, and every adventure begins with a curious mind. 🐻✨

Today, our Grade 5 students answered those questions through the IB PYP Exhibition 2026.

From environmental sustainability and responsible tourism to sports, technology, music, health, fashion, animals, and more, our students explored issues that mattered to them, investigated real-world questions, collaborated with mentors, and discovered the power of their own voices.

The PYP Exhibition is the culminating experience of the Primary Years Programme, but more importantly, it is a celebration of who our students have become as learners and as people.

Today, we celebrated more than projects.
We celebrated curiosity.
We celebrated courage.
We celebrated action.

And we celebrated the belief that even young people can inspire meaningful change.
