We've had a wonderful and super busy week! We were excited to start our Phonics journey and the children have been enjoying learning how to read and write new sounds 🔈

We got messy for our cross-curricular lesson, as we made playdough. We then enhanced this experience through our English core text of 'Amy and the Perfect Bao', and used our hand-made playdough to make pretend baozis!

Meet Monica Daryani! 👨‍🏫

Monica spent 15 years of her career dedicated to The British School of Guangzhou, teaching students across many age groups and becoming Chief Designated Safeguarding Lead, as well as Assistant Head.

Monica's commitment made her a key member of staff in the development of BSG — growing the school into the success story it became. With her nurturing character and wealth of experience, she now intends to do the very same at the Nord Anglia International School Guangzhou (NAISGZ).

We hosted the first-ever press briefing to welcome Guangzhou's media representatives for a tour of NAISGZ 📸

Guests included The New York Times for Kids, That's GBA and The British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong. The event hailed the opening of our Olympic Park Campus, which offers an unrivalled international education for students aged 2-11.
