Rockies is a Canadian owned and managed group of English language schools. We also run a business management and consultancy company to offer services to partnership schools, Rockies’ franchise schools, and joint venture schools. Among these include, privately owned training schools, public and privately owned kindergartens, public schools, and international schools.
Rockies was formed under the regulations of the State Council and is authorised to sponsor foreign experts to be employed in our numerous schools throughout China. Rockies was founded in 2001 and is based on a Canadian model. We have close relationships with the Calgary Board of Education, with the purpose of establishing an international standard in English language training for domestic Chinese students and those who wish to study abroad in the future. In addition to our comprehensive graded English language curriculum, we also offer specialised courses in Business English, English exam preparation, and tailored language courses for individuals, groups, and businesses.
Rockies has enjoyed continued success in the Chinese market and is constantly expanding. As a result, Rockies not only offer positions for English teachers, but also have opportunities for career advancement into management and potentially school ownership. As part of our continuous effort to maintain and improve our standards of education and the quality of service we provide our foreign staff, we have recently employed two additional foreign managers, one in our Head office in Dalian and the other in our QuanZhou division.
Our group of around 40 Foreign English teachers are employed in various teaching scenarios and we offer a range of contract options. Teachers can fall under direct management, joint management, or independent management. Under direct management, teachers are managed by Rockies management solely. Under joint management, teachers are managed on a daily basis by their respective schools with Rockies acting as an overseer. Under independent management, teachers are managed by their respective schools and Rockies act as a consultant and advisor to the school managers/owners.
