Southwest University Celebrates Its 120th Anniversary. The university was founded on April 18, 1906, as the Eastern Sichuan Normal School, just before the Grain Rain (Gu Yu) solar term. With a long-lasting cultural heritage, the school has continuously thrived in its mission to cultivate talent. After 120 years of dedication, it remains committed to its educational purpose, passing the torch of knowledge and bravely shouldering the national mission.
