[Dragon Boat Festival - Fête des bateaux-dragons]
Today in China, we are celebrating the dragon boat festival.
The Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated in memory of Qu Yuan, a poet of the State of Chu during the Warring States Period (475-221 BC), who committed su***de by jumping into the Miluo River on May 5. Rowing dragon boats and eating zongzi are two of the customs of the Dragon Boat Festival. Happy Dragon Boat Festival!
Aujourd'hui en Chine, nous célébrons la fête des bateaux-dragons. Cette fête est associée à la mémoire du poète Qu Yuan et a été inscrite en 2009 par l'UNESCO sur la liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité. Durant cette fête, des courses de bateaux-dragons sont pratiquées partout en Chine et des Zongzi (Riz enrobé dans des feuilles de bambous en forme de berlingot) sont consommés.
