Sichuan Technology & Business University (STBU) is an independent University recognized by the Ministry of Education. A full time higher education institute entitled to award undergraduate degree and higher diploma. At STBU we enroll students from all over the country. STBU, previously Sichuan Normal University Chengdu College, was established in 2001. After a successful transformation in January
2015 the University got the status of independent institute from its mother University, approved by the Ministry of Education. Covering 264 acres area of land and accommodating around 22,000 students’ on-campus, Sichuan Technology & Business University encompasses the following 10 Colleges including;

These Colleges together incorporate 62 undergraduate degree and diploma programs, the University covers many disciplines, e.g. Economics, Humanities, Social Management, Engineering, Law, Art, etc. The University has two campuses, Chengdu campus and Meishan campus. Both the campuses enjoy convenient access to transportation & beautiful campus environment. Chengdu campus is located in the source Town of Funan River, also called the mother river of Chengdu city. Through a decade’s development, STBU boasts fine teaching and living facilities, which can meet the needs of educational and teaching reform and development. Built on a land area of 49 acres, Chengdu campus has been operational since the foundation of STBU in 2001. Although it has been more than a decade since its foundation the campus is up to date with latest laboratory equipment and state of the art study, teaching and living facilities for both staff and students. In 2013 an extension of the campus was required to accommodate new students. The extension added four students’ dormitory buildings, 10 Basketball courts, one teaching block with a conference hall, students’ cafeteria, a concert hall, teacher’s accommodation, a Kindergarten and a huge lake adding to the beauty of the campus. Due to the rapid development the same year the construction of the new campus began in order to keep up with the expansion. The Meishan campus, covering an area of 214 acres is located in Meishan, a city that is home to Su Dongpo, a great poet of Song Dynasty. According to the development plan, the total planned construction area is 540,000 m2. The first phase of project has already been completed, comprising of the administration building, teaching buildings, library, huge cafeteria, Olympic style playground and public facilities along with other teaching and living facilities. At present, the University is pressing ahead with the second phase of project and striving to build a fully-functioning first-rate University with distinctive characteristics. The University has a dedicated Laboratories Center and a Students’ Innovation and Start up Club, as well as 171 professional experimental and practice training rooms. Besides, the University has also established 77 off-campus training bases through cooperation with various organizations and enterprises both in and out of
the province. Both, Chengdu and Meishan, Campuses have their own libraries, covering an area of 37,000 m2.These libraries have a total collection of over 1.767 million books and around 1 million copies of electronic journals. The University has always paid great attention to the improvement of campus information technology infrastructure by gradually developing wireless internet access
on campus, office automation and high quality resource sharing. The College has an outstanding, professional, well-balanced faculty of full-time and part-time teaching staff. The teaching faculty consists of teachers who are provincially renowned, highly regarded, and dually qualified. The University has also engaged famous experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and artists as visiting fellows. Since its foundation twelve years ago, the University has adhered to its motto of “Virtue, Erudition, Truth and Innovation”. STBU actively promotes the development of talents and citizenship, with continuous reform in the teaching and learning in order to develop high-quality vocational & practical talents. It has gradually positioned itself as a training provider that caters to the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, and successfully nurtured more than 20,000 high -quality talents with practical skills who are generally welcomed by employers. A large number of outstanding alumni have started their own business and are highly valued by the community. The employment rate of graduates of all previous years remains above 95%. Thus, the University has been continuously rewarded by the Sichuan Province Education Department as the outstanding, advanced unit in graduate employment, as
well as successively gaining honorary titles such as Chengdu Advanced Unit in Landscaping and Greening and Sichuan Advanced Unit in Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection.
