Trinasolar’s lightweight module solution helps overcome this challenge through innovative design. By reducing module weight to approximately 7 kg/m², it lowers structural pressure and enables more low-load rooftops to participate in the clean energy transition.
Lightweight does not mean compromising reliability. Designed to deliver strong mechanical performance, the module supports up to +3600/-2400 Pa load capacity and can withstand 35 mm hail impact, providing dependable protection across diverse operating environments.

Real-world validation is where performance truly matters 🌞
In a recent field validation conducted by the Beijing CGC Certification Center at a desert PV test site in Gansu, China, Trinasolar's Vertex N TOPCon modules achieved 2.90% higher energy yield than TBC modules based on first-quarter field test results.
The site represents one of China's harshest operating environments for utility-scale desert PV plants, with extreme temperatures, sandstorms, highly reflective terrain and prolonged periods of low irradiance.
The results show that Vertex N TOPCon modules deliver strong and stable energy generation in demanding desert conditions, with high bifaciality and excellent low-light performance playing a key role.
Through continuous field validation, Trinasolar keeps advancing reliable PV module solutions that deliver long-term value for utility-scale solar projects worldwide.

Beyond Boundaries, Beyond Expectations returns with Episode 6: When Rooftops Have Weight Limits 🏭
For many commercial and industrial rooftops, the opportunity for solar is clear — but the roof may not always be ready for the load.
Older factory buildings, coal shed roofs, carports, and other structures with limited load-bearing capacity often face strict installation constraints. When conventional PV modules exceed the available load capacity, project owners may face costly reinforcement, complex structural assessments, or even missed opportunities for rooftop solar deployment.
Beyond installation, additional structural weight can increase project complexity, extend construction timelines, raise upfront costs, and create uncertainty around long-term safety and returns.
As more C&I users look to turn underused rooftops into clean energy assets, reducing rooftop load is becoming a critical part of project feasibility.
In the next episode, we’ll look at how lightweight module technology can help make more rooftops viable for solar.
