东眺聚沙古塔，南望赤乌古刹，盐铁塘边，月河桥畔，是我们美丽的梅李中学。
　　梅李中学创建于1948年春，1957年增设高中，1998年在常熟同类学校中率先成为省级重点高中，2004年被批准为省首批三星级学校。
　　六十载风雨春秋，四海内桃李芬芳。学校培育出包括中国国防科技大学校长、中央候补委员温熙森中将，发现小行星“常熟星”的天文科学家汪琦，江苏大学原校长、博士生导师杨继昌，全国吊环冠军阮国良等等一大批国家栋梁之材。
