We are an affiliated non-profit organisation connecting foreign teachers with schools, colleges and universities throughout Hunan province. Hunan Provincial Education Association for International Exchange (HPEAIE), approved by and registered with the Civil Administration Department of Hunan Province, is Hunan’s statewide non-profit organisation conducting international educational exchanges. It i
s affiliated with the Education Department of Hunan Province, and also a member organisation of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE). The member institutions of HPEAIE include most of the universities and colleges, some high schools and also some educational administrative organisations in the province. HPEAIE has the following tasks and functions: conducting nongovernmental international educational cooperation and exchanges and undertaking international educational programs consigned by the Education Department of Hunan Province and CEAIE on the basis of equality, friendship, cooperation and mutual benefit and also under leadership of the Education Department of Hunan Province; Extensively developing exchange and cooperation with educational and research institutions, academic bodies, as well as organisations, enterprises, foundations and individuals in other countries and regions; Providing a platform to offer services to invite overseas teachers to work in Hunan while to assist Chinese teachers to teach abroad and keep up with advanced studies, and also to recruit international teachers and students to visit and travel in Hunan Province; Organising Hunan’s students and their parents to visit foreign countries and take part in different activities, including competitions and international summer/winter camps; Assisting its member institutions to develop international educational exchanges and to fulfil the missions stipulated in the constitution of HPEAIE. Since the foundation of HPEAIE in the early 1980's, HPEAIE has aspired to create nongovernmental international educational cooperation and exchanges, and has contributed to the opening-up of Hunan’s education. In the new historic era, HPEAIE is striding towards a newer and higher destination.
