On October 28th , the " 5- minute display of academic achievements " ( 5MP ) for international students of Jilin Agricultural University and the second international student academic forum were held in classroom 316 of the graduate building .

At the opening ceremony, Song Yinqiu, Dean of the School of International Education Exchange, briefly introduced the situation of the International Student Academic Forum, and extended welcome and thanks to the attending experts and students. She said that the school attaches great importance to the improvement of international student training and management quality, encourages international students to cultivate creative thinking, and has carried out a series of innovative research work. She hopes that students can learn something through personal efforts and become the pride of Jinon. .

At the forum, international students from 8 countries including Uruguay and Ethiopia shared their academic research results and experiences. The students at the forum actively participated in exchanges and interactions . The judges respectively put forward professional opinions from the topic selection direction, research methods, revision suggestions, etc., to provide targeted guidance for international students in the next step of scientific research. The students who participated in the forum said that through this activity, they have enlivened their thinking, broadened their horizons, and laid a good foundation for their future academic research.

The International Student Academic Forum is one of the series of activities of the International Student Chinese Traditional Culture Experience Week of the International Education Exchange College. It aims to enhance their sense of belonging in Jinong, share and exchange academic achievements through the academic forum, and improve the academic research level of students At the same time, it also creates an atmosphere for academic exchanges in English for the teachers and students of our school.

2021/2022学年吉林农业大学来华留学生年度评审通知



各学院、留学生：

2021/2022学年吉林农业大学来华留学生年度评审工作即将开始。年度评审是对在我校学习的留学生的一次综合评价，考察内容为学生的道德品行、学习成绩、学习/科研态度、活动表现等情况。年度评审的结果决定学生是否具有继续享受奖学金的资格，无故不参加者或未按时提交完整材料的学生将视作放弃奖学金资格，现将年度评审相关事项通知如下：

（一） 评审对象

（1） 2021-2022学年继续在校学习的留学生，包括本科生、硕士生、博士生；

（2） 原计划于2021年7月毕业，但申请延期且符合延期要求的留学生。

（二）材料清单

（1）《中国政府奖学金年度评审（学生自评）表》

（2）《吉林农业大学来华留学生年度评审表》

（3）《吉林农业大学来华留学生年度评审分数标准》

（4）《吉林农业大学国际学生中国政府奖学金年度评审办法》

（三）评审标准

（1）有下列情况之一者，中止其享受中国政府奖学金资格一年：

因考核成绩不合格留级或者降级的；

所修课程连续两年未达到规定学分的；

受到留校察看处分的。

被中止享受中国政府奖学金资格者，自下一学年开学起停发其奖学金，但本人可按照学校有关规定申请自费或者减免部分费用留校继续学习。中止期满前，经本人申请，可以参加当年的年度评审，如评审合格，经国家留学基金委批准后，可以自下一学年起恢复其奖学金。

（2）有下列情况之一者，取消享受中国政府奖学金资格：

受到勒令退学或者开除学籍处分的；

在校学习期间累计两次未通过年度评审的；

无正当理由不参加年度评审的。

被取消享受中国政府奖学金资格者，从公布之日起停发其奖学金，其享受中国政府奖学金的资格不得再恢复。

（3）具体分数标准请参考《吉林农业大学来华留学生年度评审分数标准》

（四）评审材料提交要求

（1）根据《中国政府奖学金年度评审（学生自评）表》（以下简称《学生自评表》），如实填写各项内容；

（2）学生本人签字的《学生自评表》；

（3）2021年5月10日前，所有评审资料由学生提交给国际教育交流学院。

（五）评审材料提交方式

（1）境内同学必须提交纸质版评审材料到国际教育交流学院105室；

（2）境外同学提供扫描版材料（请注意：《学生自评表》务必单独扫描，作为单独文件发送，不得与其他佐证材料扫描在一起），发送至[email protected]

（六）注意事项

（1）逾期未按要求提交评审材料的学生，视作放弃奖学金处理。

（2）中国政府奖学金年度评审最终结果均以国家留学基金管理委员会公布的结果为准。最终结果请留意吉林农业大学国际教育交流学院网站通知。

10月28日，吉林农业大学国际学生“学术成果5分钟展示”（5MP）暨第二届国际学生学术论坛在研究生楼316教室举行。

开幕式上，国际教育交流学院院长宋银秋简要介绍了国际学生学术论坛的情况，并向与会专家和学生们的到来致以欢迎和感谢。她表示，学校高度重视国际学生培养和管理质量的提升，鼓励国际学生培养创造性思维，开展了一系列创新性研究工作，希望同学们通过个人的努力都能学有所成，成为吉农的骄傲。

论坛上，来自乌拉圭、埃塞俄比亚等8个国家的国际学生分享他们的学术研究成果与心得，论坛现场同学们积极参与交流互动。评委们分别从选题方向、研究方法、修改建议等方面提出专业意见，为国际学生下一步科学研究提供有针对性的指导。参加论坛的同学们纷纷表示，通过本次活动活跃了思维，开拓了视野，也为自己今后学术研究打下了良好的基础。

此次国际学生学术论坛是国际教育交流学院国际学生中国传统文化体验周系列活动之一，旨在增强他们在吉农的归属感，通过学术论坛分享交流学术成果的形式，提高学生的学术研究水平，同时也为我校广大师生创造英语学术交流的氛围。

学校国际教育交流学院、研究生学院、农学院、生命科学学院、经济管理学院、资源与环境学院、食品科学与工程学院相关负责人及120余名国际学生及大学生国际交流协会同学参与了此次活动。

Annual Review Notice for International Students of Jilin Agricultural University in China in 2021/2022 Academic Year



All colleges and international students:

In the 2021/2022 academic year, the annual review of international students from Jilin Agricultural University to China will begin soon. The annual review is a comprehensive evaluation of the international students studying in our school. The content of the inspection includes the students' moral conduct, academic performance, learning/scientific research attitude, activity performance, etc. The results of the annual review determine whether students are eligible to continue to enjoy the scholarship. Students who do not participate without reason or who fail to submit complete materials on time will be deemed to have waived their scholarship qualifications. The relevant matters of the annual review are hereby notified as follows:

(1) Appraisal object

(1) International students who continue to study in the school in the 2021-2022 academic year, including undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students;

(2) International students who originally planned to graduate in July 2021 but have applied for an extension and meet the extension requirements.

(3) Evaluation criteria

(1) Those who have one of the following conditions will be suspended for one year from the Chinese Government Scholarship:

Repeated or demoted due to unqualified assessment results;

The courses taken have not reached the required credits for two consecutive years;

Subject to detention for probation.

Those who have been suspended from the Chinese government scholarship will stop issuing their scholarships from the beginning of the next academic year, but they can apply for self-finance or part of the fee reduction to stay in school in accordance with the relevant regulations of the school. Before the expiration of the suspension period, upon personal application, you can participate in the annual review of the current year. If the review is qualified, the scholarship can be resumed from the next academic year after approval by the China Scholarship Council.

(2) Those who fall into one of the following circumstances will be disqualified from the Chinese Government Scholarship:

Those who have been ordered to withdraw from school or expelled from school;

Failed to pass the annual review twice accumulatively during the school study period;

Failing to participate in the annual review without justified reasons.

Those who have been disqualified from the Chinese Government Scholarship shall stop issuing their scholarships from the date of announcement, and their qualifications for the Chinese Government Scholarship shall not be restored.

(3) For specific score standards, please refer to "Jilin Agricultural University Annual Review Score Standards for International Students in China"

(4) Requirements for submission of review materials

(1) According to the "Chinese Government Scholarship Annual Review (Student Self-evaluation) Form" (hereinafter referred to as the "Student Self-evaluation Form"), fill in the contents truthfully;

(2) "Student Self-evaluation Form" signed by the student;

(3) Before May 10, 2021, all review materials shall be submitted by the students to the School of International Education and Exchange.

(5) Methods of submission of review materials

(1) Domestic students must submit paper-based review materials to Room 105 of the International Education Exchange College;

(2) Overseas students provide the scanned version of the materials (please note: the "Student Self-Evaluation Form" must be scanned separately and sent as a separate document, not scanned together with other supporting materials) and sent to [email protected]

(6) Matters needing attention

(1) Students who fail to submit review materials as required within the time limit will be deemed to have given up the scholarship.

(2) The final results of the annual review of Chinese Government Scholarships are subject to the results announced by the China Scholarship Council. National University of Lesotho visit our University

From May 21st to 25th, the delegation of National University of Lesotho(NUL), headed by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. L. Mahao, had a friendly visit to our university. Chair of the Univeristy Council Prof. Xi Xiufeng, President Feng Jiang and Vice President Zhang Yuejie met with the delegation .

During the meeting, Xi XiuFeng reviewed his visit to Lesotho in 2016, meeting with Minister and Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Education of Lesotho, and Chinese ambassador to Lesotho. He pointed out the landmark significance of signing the MOU by the two universities in 2017. By the delegation’s visit, a new chapter has been opened between the two universities, which means a deeper cooperation in future for contributing more wisdom to building a community of shared destiny for mankind. During the talk, on behalf of our university, Xi Xiufeng invited NUL to attend the 70th anniversary celebration .

In the talks, Feng Jiang fully affirmed the results of the cooperation and communication between two universities over the past two years. He said, the two universities should seize the construction opportunity of the Belt and Road Initiative, committ to strengthen the construction of talent training and science and technology cooperation platform. We should create innovative form of cooperation and strive to promote the establishment of Confucius institute as well as take the path of diversified development so as to constantly improve the level of cooperation between the two sides.

Mahao expressed congratulations to our 70th anniversary and expressed his appreciation for our pragmatic and efficient cooperation attitude. He said, the delegation cherished this visit which supported by the Chinese embassy in Lesotho. When return, the delegation will immediately report to the Chinese embassy and the Ministry of Education, Lesotho strive for early realization of the common aspirations of the two universities for jointly setting up Confucius Institute. He also expected to continue to expand the realm of cooperation between two sides.

Accompanied by Zhang Yuejie, the delegation visited some teaching and research platforms, such as the bacterium vegetable base, Engineering Research Center of Chinese Ministry of Education for Edible Medicinal Fungi, National Engineering Laboratory for Deep Processing of Wheat and Maize, Engineering Research Center of Bioreactor and Pharmaceutical Development, Minitry of Education, Jilin Provincial Technological Innovation Platform for Comprehensive Utilization of Straw, Jilin Province Animal Micro-Ecological Preparation Engineering Research Center, Agricultural Modernization Comprehensive Technology Research Institute.
