On the morning of May 9, Professor Richard Hobbs, Executive Chancellor of Oxford University visited Beijing Film Academy. The delegation had on-site communication with Vice President Li Wei and the teacher and students of the International Program who were doing the practice filming in studio.

Face structure shooting demonstrated by Wayne Yueliu Li, the teacher of Commercial Video Production. Students from 2022 international program used vintage lens such as Hugo, Leica R, Cooke Panchro FF, Canon FD0.95, Petzval, Mamiya645, Pentax645, etc for filming and got more understanding of the imaging and characteristics brought by the lens.

Here are the portfolios of the IMAGE CREATION course by the undergraduate students of 2022 from cinematography department. After eight weeks of study, the students' creative ability and aesthetic skills have been greatly improved.

ARRI experts came to cinematography department and gave students a one-day lecture on April 4th. They talked about their latest products and technologies. After the lectures, the students also got some time to try ALEXA 35, ALEXA 65, Trinity and Orbiter.

On March 30, the Cinematography Department together with the school held a film screening and discussion session of “The Cord Of Life”.
Professor Mu Deyuan hosted the event as a special guest, alongside with Cao Yu (Supervisor and Dop of the film, alumni of Cinematography Department BFA), Yao Chen (Supervisor of the film, alumni of Acting Department, BFA), Qiao Sixue (Screenwriter and Director) and Badma (Main character).
After watching the movie, students from all departments had a chance to communicate with the film creators.

Lately international students from Cinematography Department had a series of practical classes such as Camera Operation, Fundamentals of Lighting, etc. Practice is always the best master.
