On May 28, Marcos Galvao, Brazilian Ambassador to China, visited Beijing Foreign Studies University.

Both sides reached consensus on educational connectivity and cultural exchanges. The ambassador delivered a special lecture, reviewed cooperative achievements over the 50th anniversary of China-Brazil diplomatic relations, and promoted the 2026 China-Brazil Culture Year to boost bilateral youth communication🚀

On May 27, a delegation headed by François Poirier, Academic Dean of Toulouse School of Economics, visited Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).

The two sides negotiated cooperation in economics & management, mathematics, big data and other disciplines. They plan to deepen existing projects, advance joint degree programs and faculty exchanges to consolidate the foundation of Sino-French inter-university cooperation.

Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Visits Beijing Foreign Studies University

On May 22, Mihai Popșoi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, paid a visit to Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). Jia Wenjian, President of BFSU, and Zhao Gang, Vice President, held cordial talks with the delegation. Mr. Popșoi spoke highly of BFSU’s contributions to Moldova-China relations, especially its remarkable achievements in cultivating talents proficient in Romanian. In his speech, he encouraged young students to take an active part in international exchanges and enhance cross-cultural understanding. He also expressed the hope to further expand bilateral cooperation in education, economy, trade and people-to-people exchanges. Students majoring in Romanian at BFSU delivered a wonderful poetry recital on site.

As a key gateway for China’s people-to-people and cultural exchanges with the world, BFSU has long promoted international communication via language and culture. This visit has deepened the friendship between the two sides and created broader international development opportunities for faculty and students.
