Hello ISEC'ers!! One of our outstanding alumnus is hiring and he needs your help!

Our former US/UK recruiter of many years has founded a software company that is in the midst of building critical, new apps for one of the world's largest missions organizations. This missions organization has over 5,000 families serving outside of the US - most of whom are serving among unreached people groups.

I'm reaching out to you to ask you to spread the word to any friend you know who has a degree in computer science or 2+ years of experience in software development.

We have one more week to accept late applicants, and are still very much in need of teachers. Applicants should be at least rising university freshmen (first year students next year), from North America or UK (or studying there), and fluent in English.

The Continued Impact of Your ISEC Summer: Introducing ISEC Winter Camps!

Inspired by the example of the foreign volunteers, many of our ISEC counselors have asked us if it was possible to have ISEC even when the ISEC teachers aren't here.

So in 2014 we had our first ever ISEC Winter Camp in southern China. A pilot project giving Chinese brothers and sisters a chance to serve as ISEC teachers and camp leaders, we were hugely encouraged by the enthusiasm, creativity, competence, and willingness to serve of the 2014 team, and the camp was deemed a huge success!

This year, we took it a step further, encouraging our teacher teams to not only serve as teachers, but also to use their own social networks to find camp partners, set their own goals, design their own camp curriculum, and to go above and beyond simply teaching English to think of how they could serve the students in other effective and strategic ways.

Two* of our three teams were able to hold camps this year in southwest China, working with ethnic minorities, migrant children, and orphans. We are proud of the teams not only for enduring ongoing obstacles and hardships, serving others with love, and holding fantastic camps, but for challenging themselves and others to put their talents, resources and abilities to use to think of ways they could serve and create a Lasting Impact in the lives of others.

Students, local volunteer teams, schools, and local Families were all impacted by the love and service of the Winter Camp teams, and the team members themselves have been forever changed in their understanding of what is possible through the Source of our strength.

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of our ISEC ALUMNI. The effects of your hard work and sacrifice are continuing to impact China long after you are gone, to an extent you may have never imagined. [Also, we would love to have you back! You can apply for ISEC 2015 through our website. :D ).

To all of our 2015 ISEC TEACHERS: you will be challenged and grow in ways you can't possibly imagine, but will certainly never forget (or regret!) We are so excited to see the impact you will have on China, and also the impact He (and China!) will have on you.

By the way, we're getting a LOT of applications this year, so if you haven't already, please apply ASAP!

*Our third team found out that their camp would be impossible because the schoolchildren would not be out of school in time to attend the camp they were planning, but are hoping to put together a camp for the summer.

The Early Bird application deadline (Jan 15th) has passed, and we are processing all early applicants now. Many have applied, but there's still plenty of room on this summer's team!

We gladly welcome any Brothers or Sisters with a heart to serve, but want to especially encourage previous ISECers and British brothers and sisters to apply.
