Blackstone is extending its maternity leave benefits from 12 weeks at full pay to 16 weeks to encourage women to stay in the workforce.
Of 1,880 employees considered professionals at the firm, only 557 are women. Only seven of Blackstone’s 139 senior managing directors, a leadership role, are female. Yikes... let's raise the bar. Cheers to Blackstone for taking a step in the right direction.
