Beijing Kunlun Gongfu is a traditional Chinese martial system rooted in the historical and technical framework associated with Han QiChang. In recent years, this system has been the subject of structured academic research in Europe, aimed at documenting, preserving, and contextualizing its principles within a modern scholarly environment.

In 2024 and 2025, a research project dedicated to the European recovery of the Beijing Kunlun Gongfu system received the Hall of Fame recognition known as Meticulous Martial Arts Moments (MMAM) by Juanita Kapp . The project was awarded twice for its methodological rigor and for the presentation of a thesis-based study that applied academic standards to the analysis of this traditional Beijing martial art.

The research was developed under the direction of Enrico Beltrotti, founder of Covert Expertise - Gruppo di Arti Marziali and official European representative of Beijing Kunlun Gongfu. Rather than focusing on individual achievement, the awarded work emphasizes the reconstruction of technical curricula, historical references, and theoretical structures of Kunlun Gongfu, highlighting its coherence and continuity within the broader landscape of Chinese martial traditions.

An important element of this recognition is its reception in China.
In Beijing, the official diploma associated with the MMAM Hall of Fame award has been publicly displayed on the official notice board of the Kunlun Gongfu, representing formal acknowledgment by the originating institution and reinforcing the validity of cross-cultural academic research.

Overall, the MMAM awards of 2024 and 2025 underline the growing role of academic approaches in the preservation and transmission of traditional Chinese martial systems, with Beijing Kunlun Gongfu serving as a case study for international scholarly collaboration.
