The past two days, from early-morning warmups to photo-finish finals, were a joyful celebration of Gong He spirit, courage, and pure end-of-year fun.
Relive the splashes, smiles, and victory shouts in our reel from yesterday and this morning’s races on Duck Lake, and join us in congratulating every paddler, drummer, and cheerleader who made this tradition unforgettable!
Three days. Three grades. One epic Design Showcase. 🏎️🎬🤖
Grade 6 hit the track for the Formula WAB Grand Prix — real cars, real speed, real adrenaline. Grade 7 brought their big ideas to the big screen with original advertisements that had us laughing, thinking, and cheering. And Grade 8? They built, coded, and battled in the Robot Sumo Championship — an engineering clash for the ages.

WAB Podcast | Flourishing Together, 2025–2026 Year-End Reflections Head of School Marta Medved Krajnovic and Stephen Taylor reflect on a year of learning, community, and looking ahead to 2026–2027.
Last week, the inaugural Individuals & Societies Class Showcase brought together Grade 6, 7, and 8 students to share projects rooted in real-world issues and sustainable solutions.
From Grade 6's "Architects of Change" designing ethical, sustainable nations, to Grade 7's "Field Researchers" reimagining sustainability right here on our own campus, to Grade 8's "Storytellers for Impact" uncovering the hidden costs of what we consume — every project was a reminder of just how much our students care about the world they're inheriting. 🌍✨

What happens when Grade 8 students design for real? They learn to see through someone else's eyes.
In this week's WAB Podcast, we sit down with Ben, Aurora, and Emily — three Middle School students who took on actual client briefs and created logos, posters, stage banners, and hoodies for real WAB events including Jazz and Chill, the Upcycling Fashion Show, and Grade 8 Celebration.
🎧 Give it a listen and hear their stories in their own words!
WAB Podcast | When Students Design for the Real World Grade 8 students brought real WAB events to life by designing for authentic clients, learning through iteration, feedback, and perspective-taking while turning creative ideas into meaningful, real-world impact.
Lights up, game on.
Yesterday, our Elementary School students took the stage in Press Start, bringing energy, creativity, and plenty of heart to every scene. From catchy songs to confident performances, it was a celebration of teamwork, imagination, and student voice.
Press start and watch them shine.
From Friday’s Jazz & Chill and Identity Film Festival to Saturday’s Fun Fair and Rock in the Park, our campus came alive.
Students took the stage, shared their voices, and led meaningful action, from music and film to hands-on fun and Global Citizenship in Action projects. Across every moment, what stood out most was our community: students, families, alumni, and staff coming together.
These are the moments that define WAB: joyful, purposeful, and deeply connected.

Double the homecoming, double the Tiger pride! 🐯
This weekend we welcomed back the Class of 2016 for their 10-year reunion AND hosted our WAB Social Night Homecoming for alumni from 2010-2025.
Twelve Class of 2016 Tigers walked through familiar doors, reconnected with beloved teachers, and couldn't believe how much has changed (and how much hasn't). Old jokes still landed. The memories came flooding back. And those teacher-student bonds? Still family. 💙
Then the night brought Tigers from every era together—mixing, mingling, and proving that no matter when you graduated, you're always WAB.
To all our alumni, near and far: Your roots here run deep. Your stories still matter. And we can't wait for the next reunion, wherever in the world you are. 🌏
