* About Whales English:
Whales English is an online education company founded in 2012. The HQ is located in Beijing, China. We are China’s leading organization in terms of group classes. Our company is growing and expanding rapidly. We cater to language learners aged 3 to 18 and have 50,000 registered students.
1v6 Group Class is also called OEC Program, which stands for Oxford English Course. It is designed for Chinese English learners and each lesson is co-taught by a Chinese teacher and a foreign teacher. The Chinese teacher will be focusing on teaching grammar and test preparation while the foreign will be focusing on listening and speaking.

The Pay: $19-$27 per 50-minute class taught(10mins break included), plus performance-based bonuses.

* Job Details:
The Classes: 50-minute (including 10-minute break) ESL group class with maximum 6 students
The Curriculum: New series from Oxford University Press that are in line with Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
The Bookings: Parents do not book teachers. Whales English assigns classes to the teacher
The Timing: Minimum 5 hours are required; Available to teach 10 hours or more is highly preferred
Working Hours (peak hours): 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM from Monday to Sunday Beijing Time; Available from Wednesday to Sunday would be highly preferred (for our upcoming winter term)
Work Location: Fully Remote
* Job Requirements:
Experience: Online ESL teaching/tutoring experience highly preferred
Education: Bachelor degree or above
License: TESOL/TEFL/CELTA/Teaching license
Language: English idiomatically
Desire to engage and inspire young learners(3-12 yrs old)

Each teacher is paired with designated support staff for personal and individualized support. The Whales English Facebook group is a reservoir of teaching tips and ideas. A valuable space that connects teachers to global peers, responsive admins.
