🎭🌍🌊 Twenty-three international students from around the world, all members of Lingwen College's dance team, came together to perform A Great River with passion and dedication.

✨ Coming from diverse cultural backgrounds and speaking different languages, these students collaborated through the universal language of dance, creating a moving performance that transcended borders and cultures.

🌍🎓BIT will establish a cooperative education institution with the Italian school Politecnico di Torino—the BIT–Politecnico di Torino School.

🚗⚙️ The new school will offer undergraduate programs in Mechanical Engineering and Vehicle Engineering. Its talent cultivation plan will be jointly developed by both universities, with faculty members from China and Italy co-teaching courses and sharing educational resources.

🤝📚 It is expected to become a new benchmark for higher education cooperation between China and Italy.

🌏📝 BIT inaugurated its Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) and HSK Speaking Test of 2026 on May 16.

💻✨The exam session included HSK Levels 3–6 as well as the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels of the HSK Speaking Test, all conducted in a standardized computer-based format.

A total of 104 international students from 34 countries — including Russia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Cameroon — registered for the exams, demonstrating their enthusiasm for learning the Chinese language and culture. 🌍📚

🌍🤝 On May 19, a five-member delegation from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, led by President Dmitry Livanov, visited BIT. They held in-depth discussions on topics including the cultivation of international talent, scientific research collaboration, and faculty exchange and sharing.

🔬✨ BIT's research team has published a paper titled "A symmetry-reconfigurable photodiode for sensing and computing" in the top international journal Nature Electronics.

The study innovatively proposed a symmetry-reconfigurable photodiode (SRPD), successfully enabling the coordinated operation of sensing and computing in dual modes. The team also demonstrated the system in two application scenarios: transmission imaging and neuromorphic eye-machine interaction, providing a novel device solution for the development of low-power edge visual intelligence systems. A symmetry-reconfigurable photodiode for sensing and computing - Nature Electronics A photodiode that is based on silver bismuth sulfide offering a reversible symmetry-to-asymmetry transition via the localized electrochemical reduction of silver ions can be used for both transmissive imaging and in-sensor processing.

🎓🤝Zhang Jun, secretary of the CPC BIT Committee, recently led a delegation to the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for a research and exchange meeting. He expressed hope of establishing a long-term strategic cooperation platform to promote complementary strengths and mutual development between the two institutions.

✨They discussed cooperation in cultivating innovative talents, building scientific and technological innovation platforms, and advancing the development of new high-level think tanks.

✨🙌BIT offers international students the chance to enrol on its Chinese Language and Multicultural Practice Programme, which combines linguistic and cultural elements. In addition to a foundational course on the Chinese language, the programme consists of courses on domestic food, folk customs, kung fu and calligraphy.

🥇BIT's team won a gold medal among more than 200 innovative projects from 15 countries and regions at the 125th Paris International Invention Exhibition held from April 30 to May 11.

✨Professor Liu Chi's team has now achieved consecutive gold medals at the 77th International Trade Fair Ideas–Inventions–New Products in Nuremberg, the 26th Thailand Inventors' Day & Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition, the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva, and the 125th Paris International Invention Exhibition.

🤝🌏A delegation of eight representatives from University of Strathclyde, led by Associate Principals David Hillier and Ian Rivers, visited BIT on May 13. BIT Vice President Wei Yiming met with the guests.

✨The two sides held in-depth discussions on talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, and platform development, reaching a series of consensus on future cooperation.
