Advanced Intensive Training
One-semester Scheme
·The scheme is run 30 hours per week, six hours a day from Monday to Friday.
·The students are grouped according to their Chinese level upon admission.
·This scheme is mainly designed for the learners of the beginners’ level and the intermediate level.
·The integrated one semester scheme, like The Integrated Chinese course, includes spoken Chinese,
Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension and Language Practice classes.
·Training results are comparable to those achieved after one year of general intensive training.
·Distinctive learners traits and varied needs will be taken into consideration by offering various optional courses.
·The scheme is characteristic of both intensity and efficiency, with its focus on language skills and pragmatic language use in communicative settings by providing plentiful practice in and outside the classroom.
·Colorful activities are organized for practicing language skills in authentic situations. Students are provided with a language research field trip.

·The scheme is characterized by colorful language practice activities. Students are provided with plentiful and meaningful authentic settings to fulfill their communicative tasks. Certificates
Students who have successfully completed their studies will be conferred one of the following three certificates according to their categories: Certificate for General Intensive Training in Chinese, Certificate for Intensive Training in Chinese, or Certificate for Short-term Intensive Training in Chinese. Upon completion of courses, students may request a transcript of their course scores. Extracurricular Activities
COLLEGE OF INTENSIVE CHINESE STUDIES arranges for students entertaining programs in language practice and cultural orientation.
·Two free trips to places of interests in Beijing; an opportunity to watch Chinese art performance.
·Leisure trips to Beijing suburbs during spare time ( a nominal charge).
·Weekend trips to other cities, including Datong, Chengde, Shaolin Temple in Luoyang, Qufu and Mount Tai. Holiday trips encompass Shanghai--Suzhou, grasslands and deserts in Inner Mongolia, etc.
·Activities for Chinese language perfection: Students will participate in various shows and performances, karaoke singing contest, and writing contest.
