📢Applications Open: 2025 Global Surgery Advocacy Program

Applications are now open for the 2025 Global Surgery Advocacy Program, a six-month hybrid certificate training aimed at 25 participants dedicated to expanding surgical access in low- and middle-income countries.

This intensive program integrates online learning with in-person training in Butaro, Rwanda, equipping healthcare professionals, community leaders, and policy stakeholders with advocacy skills, coalition-building strategies, and communication tools.

Participants will undertake capstone advocacy projects designed to influence surgical systems at both community and global levels. Priority will be given to applicants from Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

This program is a great step forward in building local capacity for surgical advocacy.

The Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation team spent May 30, 2025, at Les Centre d'Accueil de l'Espoir in Efoulan, Yaoundé, participating in the monthly Community Day outreach.

Foundation staff turned their regular Friday into a day of service, assisting with cleaning and laundry while engaging children through dance performances and friendly competitions. The event culminated in the presentation of food items and hygiene kits.

This monthly outreach reflects the Foundation's commitment to beyond policy work, showcasing how direct service fosters lasting connections with Cameroon's most populations.
