Check out the latest update from Haman Marcus, our Climate Justice Crusader at Collège Privé Technique et Professionnel Agricole de Maroua (COPTAM)!
Marcus has been leading an inspiring series of trainings for his students on eco-friendly waste management to combat . Recently, he taught them valuable skills in producing biogas from kitchen waste and f***l sludge. He highlighted that this training is crucial in the fight against , as it helps decrease the release of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere, which contribute to global warming.
Let's keep supporting initiatives like these for a healthier planet! 🌍

🌿 Join us in celebrating Tita John Buma, our Climate Justice Crusader at Institute Polyvalent Bilingual Excellency Academy (IPOBEXA) Ngaoundere - BEKA! 🌍 Last month, he spearheaded a tree-planting initiative at his school, taking a powerful stand against climate change. Through the activity he educated his students on the vital importance of afforestation, nurturing a generation of eco-conscious leaders. 🌱
This incredible initiative was inspired by a workshop hosted by the Cameroon Fulbright TEA Alumni Association through a sponsorship from U.S. Embassy Yaounde, Cameroon, back in November 2023. Tita was there, soaking up knowledge and inspiration, and now he's putting it into action right in his community.
Together, we can make a real difference in the fight against climate change! 💚

Before heading into the Easter break, Achille Batassou, our Climate Justice Crusader at Government Secondary School Tchabal, kicked off an exciting composting project in his school! 🌿For the next two months, Achille and his team will be monitoring the compost pile they made from organic waste materials such as cow dung, chicken waste, kitchen scraps, dry/decayed organic matter, and various green waste as they transform into nutrient-rich compost. ♻️
The goal of his project activity? To instill the importance of composting as a means of fighting in our students and to empower them to spread the message in their communities.

Under the leadership of our Climate Justice Crusader, Paul Guerin, the Green Brigade Club of Government Technical High School Batouri embarked on a meaningful journey to combat climate change in the community in a twin celebration of the 2024 World Forest Day and World Water Day on March 28th. 🌍💚 The climate justice actors were honored to receive 100 ornamental trees generously donated by the Mayor of Batouri, a crucial step in the community's fight against climate change.
Joined by members of the school's administration, enthusiastic students, and even some former students returning to recognize academic excellence in the school, the Crusaders came together to plant these trees on the school campus. 🌳✨ It was a day filled with empowerment, education, and environmental action all to promote the relevance of fighting climate change in the community!

On Friday March 22, 2024, our Climate Justice Crusaders, Robert Fombah, and Agure Sebastian, mobilized and coordinated the Environment Club of Cameroon College of Arts and Science Kumba to celebrate the 2024 World Water Day.
The day kicked off with an engaging radio interview at Kingdom Breeze Radio at 6:30 am. During the event, the climate justice actors passionately discussed the importance of environmental conservation and the urgent need for climate action.
At 11:30 am, the club members and their coordinators gathered to express their message through works of art. Using cardboard papers, they crafted pictorial images to raise awareness about the pressing issues of climate change. The display included inspiring drawings and a poignant poem titled "The Fertilizer and Our Environment".
With unwavering commitment, the climate change warriors turned to cleaning the school's taps, symbolizing their dedication to promoting water safety. This last activity ended at about 1:00 pm local time.
Together, we can make a difference! Join us in the fight against climate change. 🌿💚

Happy Birthday Nanje Patrick!
As I set sail on my FTEA journey last year, I was lucky to meet, not just a colleague, but a true friend with whom my spirit clicked. Your jovial spirit and friendly demeanor have made our shared experiences a joy.
Your intelligence and dedication to transforming education in Cameroon are not only admirable but inspirational. I'm so happy that MINESEC recognized your potential so quickly and appointed you as an inspector—a role you were undoubtedly born to fill. Here's to you, on your special day, may you continue to be the beacon of change our society desperately needs cheers 🥂🍾🍷🎉🎁
Happy Birthday to one of the most audacious persons I know.

We're thrilled to inform you that ornamental and fruit trees have been planted on the campus, adding both beauty and sustainability to our environment.

What's the plan? Building an in-ground composting unit right at his school! 🏫♻️
The aim? Transforming organic waste materials into nutrient-rich compost. 👍
This awesome initiative is led by the school's Environment Club and will be coordinated by Djibrilla Mohamoudou, our Climate Justice Crusader in the school.
