This fact is nice to know
Thank you Eric Assako for taking us through this pertinent discussion. It is not time for blaming parents, away with stigmatizing sickle cell disease warriors! A quarter of Cameroonians can have a sickle cell child. Join the struggle by finding out your genotype and making a reasonable match before conceiving any child. Together let us battle out sickle cell disease

Hematology is one of those transversal medical specialities that cuts through all others. Treating blood diseases, especially life long affections require more than hospital care. It entails everyday consideration of the individual , family, and community struggles our patients have to battle in their quest of personal accomplishment. Today we go again to the national TV house to raise awareness about sickle cell disease.
How guilty are parents with affected children? Should they be termed irresponsible… ignorant? Hopeful romantics struggling everyday to bring up their sickle cell warriors who themselves have a whole lot of physical, emotional and financial issues to resolve on basis of their inherited disease which could have been prevented?
Join us this evening as our host ASSAKO ERIC takes us through discussions including sickle cell warriors, a parent and our own hematologist Dr Sulem Yong Nana of the Haema Care Cooperation .
Credits go to Annabella Tabi , our special health journalist and sickle cell advocate at Hope Cell Foundation .
