Too many people call me "Sir Ridley".
They've heard little about me already.

So they finally meet me and realize:

▪️ Has problems too

And "Sir" suddenly disappears.
I can literally see the disappointment on their faces.
Whoever sent them to call me "Sir"? I have no idea. 😅

But here is the point...

I'm equally an ordinary guy, mandated by a supreme God to do extraordinary things.

I moved from a class of timidity, skipped the class of self-confidence to the class of God-confidence.

Now you get where the strength and authority and drive come from.

Everyone on this space is saying something, creating content and selling an opinion.

Attention is divided.
There are too many voices. Who should you listen to? Who should speak? Who is an authority?

It is now easy to drown in the many voices and become irrelevant.

Here are strategies to stay relevant and impactful.

1️⃣ Maximize Your Uniqueness

You can drown in noisy trends when you have no sense of uniqueness.

The average person suffers from identity crisis.
Escape the cancer of identity crisis and contest for clarity and self mastery.

Do it differently.
It’s okay to be silent sometimes. Your voice is more relevant when it is unique, coordinated and valuable.

2️⃣ Maximize Learning Opportunities

Relevance is not caught, relevance is cultivated.
Cultivated through intentional learning and building.

You join the top voices when you begin knowing what is not average and become what is not common.

Every disregarded learning opportunity is an agreement to remain shallow, small and noisy.

There is wealth of knowledge hidden in books. Buy books and read. Learn new skills. Participate in industry events and conferences.

3️⃣ Maximize Your Potentials

Potential is hidden ability.
Your potential carries the power to make you outstanding.

You can never remain irrelevant when you discover, appreciate, refine and deploy your God given potential.

A refined potential is your advantage in a noisy space.
A refined potential will reveal commitment, mastery and excellence.
Bring it to life.

4️⃣ Maximize Early & Strategic Actions

Be one of the few here who act outside of this space.

Turn your ideas into action.
Turn your talks into action.
Turn your wishes into action.
Wishing alone doesn’t produce relevance, strategic and coordinated action does.

Some months back, Doctor Samuel got our conference hall teary-eyed during his speaking session.

Doc Samuel, who had become a renowned pediatrician in the country, shared that he was a product of a widow who sent him and 7 other siblings to formal school while selling puff-puff.

They joined their mother hawking puff-puff in the streets of Mutengene as early as mid school years. They got into every kind of hustle over the holidays to add to mom’s efforts to see them through school.

Street hustle has undoubtedly transformed lives of children and families.
Many can relate to Doc Samuel’s story, and others have different experiences.

Hustling in the streets might not be admirable to some, but have winning cultures successful people give attention to.

1️⃣ The Culture of Authenticity

Street hustlers are not afraid to be themselves. They have reconciled with their background and even identity.

Hustlers are proud of what puts food on the table, operating within moral, ethical & legal bounds.

Authenticity builds trust and genuine connect with people, teams and /or customers.

2️⃣ The Culture of Creating Own Opportunities

Hustlers don’t wait for opportunities to come to them - they create their own opportunities.

On several occasions, people/ businesses show up for public opinions and fail to show up for themselves.

Showing up daily is more than just the meal, bills, and wanting to prove a point. Showing up daily is a symbol of strength for them. Showing up daily is a demonstration of hope.

This Gift Called Life

Yesterday morning, the neighborhood was unusually quiet. I stepped out and found people folding arms with pain in their eyes.

I didn’t need to ask questions. There lying was a man, not breathing anymore. He was cold and didn’t wake up.

It dawned on me that I did nothing special to be alive, I had an opportunity, like this morning too.
Life is a precious gift, offering daily opportunities to live intentionally;

✅ Make things right with men and love people sincerely

✅ Live with purpose, maximize opportunities for growth and impact

✅ Receive the life of Jesus the resurrected Christ for the salvation of your soul and live for him.

God is patiently waiting for you to come to repentance. For someone reading this now, today is another opportunity.

Embrace everyday with gratitude, a new hope, refined commitments and intentional pursuits.

1️⃣ Value

Value is the passcode to unlock doors of opportunities.

A vault that has hidden treasure needs just a simple secret code to access it, regardless of who has that code, the boss or security guard.

Opportunities do not respect titles.
Opportunities respect value.
What value do you bring?
What is your worth? What solution, service, product or idea do you have?

2️⃣ Preparedness

Preparedness signifies readiness, equipped and competent.

Many of us have had doors of opportunities shut behind us cause we knocked unexposed, unqualified and unprepared.

What skill do you have?
What have you mastered?
What can you do?
Do you even have character?

3️⃣ Confidence

Truth is some doors have not been keyed. It only needs a little push to find your way in. The question is are you daring enough to push the door open.

It can be disappointing to be right in front of a door and move away thinking it was keyed when it wasn’t.

Too many competent people remain stagnant because they fear to fail, they fear to be insulted, to be rejected, they lack the audacity to start.

It is better to knock and realize it’s locked, than to assume the door is locked and miss out.

4️⃣ Positioning

Some doors are automatic doors, with motion sensor to detect presence and position. On several occasions what you really need to unlock doors of opportunities is proximity and placing your foot on the right spot.

Are you in business or a career professional and you need access to new heights? You must master the art of Strategic Positioning.

Keep putting your feet one step at a time in the right direction, till you find the right spot and the door will open effortlessly.

5️⃣ Timing

I believe strongly that there is a season and time to everything.
Should we call it luck? The time might not necessarily happen divinely. We must learn to study and understand times, seasons and trends.

Just like a revolving door that rotates and offers a possibility to get in after some turns, you need to be there waiting for the most appropriate time.

In this month of February…
- Build irresistible value and competence.

- Find clarity of direction, strategize and show up.

Do you know that Abraham had a conversation with God just before S***m and Gomorrah was destroyed? You sure remember now.

To think that Abraham will ask God if He will destroy the city if He found 50 righteousness people in it. He reduced the number to 45, 40, 30, 20 and then 10, and God’s response was NO.

Why didn’t Abraham ask for 1, his nephew, Lot?
Possibly he thought the favor was too much to ask.

Permit me announce to you, righteous man/woman, “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱”.
The success you need is not too big for God. The healing you need is not too big for God. The intervention you need is not too big for God. God is ABUNDANTLY ABLE.

Matthew 7:7 says “Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be open unto you”.

Before this month ends, make a bold request. Pray for bold restoration in your health.

If you have identified shortcomings, start addressing them today. Don’t wait for January.
If you have a skill to learn, start now.
If you have a business to build, start now.
If you have a content to create, start now.
If you have books to read start now.
Plan your 2025 now and start ex*****on now.

It’s okay to take a break.
Don’t just do it like everyone else who shuts-down and need some motivation, new goal or “prophecy” to start again.
