At BSPH, community engagement and civic responsibility are not just words we teach in a classroom they are the very fabric of who we are.

🇨🇲 True nation building doesn't start in government offices or grand declarations; it starts right where we live, on the very streets we walk every day. That’s why we took to the streets of Mutengene, not as a one-off event, but as a living demonstration of what it means to be a citizen. Every plastic picked up, every drain unclogged, and flyers shared aswell 🤣🤣 every smile shared these small acts are the foundation of a greater nation. We believe in instilling values that last far beyond lectures and exams, values that become second nature. The streets of Mutengene will always be our responsibility, because a community that cares for itself is a community that rises together.

Our clean-up campaign was a powerful reminder that serving where you live is the truest form of patriotism. We are incredibly proud of our students for showing up and showing that action speaks louder than any promise. And this is just the beginning more of such campaigns will follow, because BSPH stands with our community, today and every day. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Divisional Officer of Tiko Sub Division for allowing us the privilege to serve. With continued collaboration and shared resolve, we will keep Mutengene clean, safe, and thriving together.

Our learning spaces should be a reflection of our minds organized, intentional, and clear. That’s why we’re proud to launch the BSPH Cleanup Campaign. This is the first of its movement. We promise to be faithful to the course of cleanliness.

We are intentional about our surroundings. Let’s show that cleanliness is not just an action, but a mindset.

Behind the Smiles Nurses Carry the World 💙

Today’s chapel service was teary, moved by the heartfelt presentation of the Nursing students at the Baptist School of Public Health.

Nurses truly are great. There is nobility in this profession, standing as frontline actors in the medical field. In the face of diseases, infections, tension, insults, and even the strangest scenarios, there is always a nurse putting their life on the line to save another.

Through nasty looks, weird smells, and the weight of patients’ personalities, nurses receive it all with a smile, while still figuring out their own lives.

If you truly value and celebrate nurses, pause and appreciate one today. Humanity is remembered not by perfection, but by what we have done. Yes, nurses have shortcomings: pressure, insults, and personal struggles sometimes spill over. But that is why they need our support, not our fingers.

📖 “Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” Matthew 7:3

So beyond their flaws, celebrate them. To all nurses giving their best, hiding pain behind broad smiles, fighting for their own lives while saving another , know this: you are loved, and humanity is grateful.

🌍✨ Day 3 Highlights – Tradition Alive at BSPH! ✨🌍

Do we ever really get over Cultural Week, or do we just learn to move on? The truth is… we don’t want to! Such creativity, such brilliance, such dynamics, such fun and joy, such culturalisation (if that’s even a word 😅).

At the Baptist School of Public Health, we remain proud and happy to celebrate our cultures. Day 3 was all about tradition songs, dances, attire, and stories that remind us of where we come from and inspire where we’re going.
