After 50 years since its inception in 1972, UNEP has served as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.

2022 was no exception. Throughout the year, UNEP helped lead groundbreaking achievements on environmental action, such as a landmark agreement to negotiate the end of plastic pollution and a UN declaration that a healthy environment is a human right.

Threats from the triple planetary crisis still loom, and urgent action must be taken. As the world’s key environmental authority, UNEP will continue to diligently strive for a healthier environment in 2023 and beyond.

There are several benefits to integrating R with QGIS:
1) R is a powerful programming language for statistical analysis and data visualization, and integrating it with QGIS allows users to perform advanced statistical analysis and visualization within the QGIS environment.
2) Integrating R with QGIS allows users to use R's wide range of statistical and visualization functions and packages within QGIS, extending the capabilities of QGIS for data analysis and visualization.
3) Integrating R with QGIS allows users to use QGIS as a platform for spatial data analysis and visualization, while leveraging the statistical and visualization capabilities of R.
4) Integrating R with QGIS allows users to automate and streamline their workflows by combining spatial analysis and visualization in QGIS with statistical analysis and visualization in R.
Overall, integrating R with QGIS can be a useful tool for those who want to perform advanced statistical analysis and visualization of spatial data within the QGIS environment.
