We are delighted to share that the brand-new whiteboard generously donated by the BASAAK President, Rev. Mbipefah Patrick, and the BASAAK team has now been successfully mounted and put into use at Cameroun Baptist Theological Seminary Kumba (CBTSK).

What was once a generous gesture of partnership has now become a practical tool in the classroom, contributing directly to teaching, learning, and the academic formation of our students.

We sincerely thank Rev. Mbipefah Patrick and the entire BASAAK family for investing in theological education and demonstrating such a beautiful spirit of love, partnership, and support for ministry formation.

This whiteboard may be simple, but its impact will extend far beyond the classroom helping equip men and women who are being prepared to serve God and His people faithfully.

Thank you, BASAAK, for standing with CBTSK!
May the Lord richly bless you and continue to enlarge your ministry.

Together, we are training for excellence and raising ambassadors for Christ as ministers of reconciliation.

Topic: Beware of the Evil Wave of NEO-IDOLATRY
*Text: 2 Tim. 3:1-5; Matthew 4:10*
Speaker: Rev Dr Peter Likake, Kumba Field Pastor.

Beloved, there is a SAD reality across the Christian world today, especially on African soil. Many true professing Christians are being carried away by the evil wave of NEO-IDOLATRY. Neo-Idolatry refers to the new or modern forms of idol worship which are so alarming and permeating Christian Circles today. Gone are those days when you see some bowing to carving woods, having suspicious ropes or bangles on some parts of the body. Gone are those days when some visibly talk or visit the sorcerer's shrine or move around with items from such places in the name of protection.

Nowadays, at first sight, all may definitely appear as SAINTS in Church Auditoriums, hypocritically professing the name of Jesus while at the same time under the influence of Neo-Idolatry, they are consciously bowing down to diverse forms of idols. Remember the words of Jesus; "...Not all who call me Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven. But only the one who does the will of my Father who id in heaven." (Matt. 7:21). What a SAD reality? That even some so called SAINTS will be rejected by Jesus on the last day; "...Depart from me, you workers of iniquities." (Matt. 7:22-23). Note this: No worshipper of any form of idol has a place in God. No matter how religious or pious you may claim to be (Gal. 5:21).

Why the Clarion Call Against The Evil Wave of Neo-Idolatry Today?
- Some individuals; Pastors, prophets, apostles, evangelists, church leaders, christians, etc. have assumed the role of God and are seemingly commanding worship in different Christian Circles. What a shame to Christendom?

- Some sorcerers, occultists, traditionalists, etc. are in disguise behind the pulpits, church leadership and committees, and are seemingly commanding worship in different Christian Circles. What a shame to Christendom?

- Some though in church are bowing down to evil, devilish, satanic, marine, witchcraft and demonic powers than heartily bowing to Jesus, the Head and Lord of the Church. What a shame to Christendom?

- Some scammers, politicians, pop stars, philosophers, scientists, footballers and the "Strong men" in the society are claiming to be rulers of the world, seemingly commanding worship. And It is a sad reality that even some who are in church fall for persons as such in humble adoration than adoring God their creator.

- Even some electronic gadgets such as; sophisticated phones, IPad, tablets, televisions, modern cars, etc. are fast becoming objects of worship to many, even to some in the church. What a frustration in Christendom?

Don't forget this truth; no form of Neo-Idolatry can withstand the power of the gospel of Jesus (Acts 8:9-12). Anyone who has believed the gospel and truly turned to Jesus for salvation, he or she has overcome the world and all it forms of Neo-idolatry (1 John 4:4; 5:4-5).

Therefore, do not bow down to any man, woman, thing or power in recent times which is seemingly commanding worship from you. Worship the Lord your God and serve him only (Matt. 4:10; Deut. 6:13). Amen!!!

BLESSED DAY WITH JESUS, THE ONLY ONE WHO DESERVES YOUR WORSHIP - AMEN!!!

We are delighted to share this beautiful expression of love and partnership with Cameroun Baptist Theological Seminary (CBTS).
The Seminary has received a generous donation of chairs from the North American Baptist (NAB), presented through NAB Liaison Officer, Miss Moody Maurine.
These chairs are more than just furniture. They are a practical investment in the comfort of the Seminary community for years to come.
On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff of CBTS, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the North American Baptist family for this thoughtful and meaningful contribution.
Your generosity reminds us that the work of theological education is strengthened when we work together. Thank you for standing with CBTS and for investing in the preparation of faithful servants for God's Kingdom.
Thank you, NAB!
Thank you, Miss Moody Maurine!
May God richly bless your generosity.

What is seminary without discipleship?

Today, Wednesday 2nd September 2026 marks the beginning of the Descipleship program at the Cameroon Baptist Theological Seminary Kumba Campus. They have taken another significant step in their journey of formation as they began a focused time of discipleship, a journey that goes beyond the classroom and into the heart of Christian life and ministry.

From knowing God and His attributes, to understanding what it means to walk closely with Him, and ultimately growing into servant leaders, these students are being shaped not only to know about God, but to know Him, follow Him, and faithfully serve His people.

Discipleship reminds us that theological education is not simply about acquiring knowledge. It is about transformation allowing the truth we learn to shape our character, our relationships, our ministry, and our leadership.

As some them prepare for their final year, the prayer is that these men and women will emerge not merely as graduates of a seminary, but as faithful disciples of Christ and servant leaders who lead by serving.

May God continue to draw them closer to Himself, deepen their knowledge of His character, form their hearts, and equip them to serve His Church with humility and faithfulness.

The journey continues. The classroom informs, but discipleship transforms.
