My name is Solange Mulem. I am a Supply chain assistant at Ozone international.

Read my story:

I graduated from the university many years back but never really worked. I have always liked to work but I never had a real opportunity. So I stayed home and started a family.

But when my last son went to pre-nursery, I started really feeling that I needed to work.

I searched for opportunities and fell on FELA’s School-to-Work program. I applied!
The program started with a one-month intensive boot camp. It was tough as we woke up at 5:30am to start our day and only went to bed at 10:00pm. It was tough, but that was exactly the training I needed to enter into the world of work!

One month passed quickly and the day of our graduation came. My family and friends came to support me. On the spot, I was placed to work with Ozone International. I had to start work the next day!
Ozone international is the exclusive distributor of products in Cameroon. ABRO is an American company that has been manufacturing and distributing car maintenance products worldwide for more than 70 years!

So i started work in August 2022.
The first 3 months was a trial period with a supervisor where I had to learn the company’s internal rules, their products, prices and most importantly the supply chain department where i was trained.

Having studied shipping and Transport, it was somehow easy because I already knew the various terms used in supply chain which is part of shipping.

After my trial period, I signed a 2 years contract with the company where I now fully work as the head of the supply chain department.
