What Erasmus+ Scholarships Mean for Cameroonian Students

The Erasmus+ Programme is the European Union’s flagship programme for education, training, youth and sport. It supports international academic mobility by providing funding that enables students and staff to study, teach, train and collaborate across partner institutions around the world.

Through the partnership between FUNIC Business School and the Netherlands Business Academy, Cameroonian students now have access to these prestigious opportunities.

Our Erasmus+ beneficiaries will:
• Start their MBA in Cameroon and complete the final semester in the Netherlands.
• Earn dual Master’s degrees from the University of Buea and the Netherlands Business Academy.
• Receive Erasmus+ support towards their travel and living expenses in the Netherlands.
• Gain international exposure while studying alongside students from different countries.
• Work part-time during their studies in the Netherlands and build valuable international work experience.
• Benefit from post-graduation opportunities that can enhance their global careers.

This is another milestone in FUNIC Business School’s commitment to providing internationally recognised education and creating global opportunities for Cameroonian students.

FUNIC Secures Erasmus+ Scholarships for Students and Lecturers!

We are delighted to announce that Fotabe University of Cameroon- FUNIC Cameroon, through its partnership with the Netherlands Business Academy (NLBA), has secured + funding from the European Union to support international learning opportunities for our students and lecturers.

The project currently provides:

• Eight (8) Erasmus+ scholarships for students.
Selected students will study in the Netherlands, where they will study, learn from international experts, experience a new culture, and build global networks.

• Six (6) Erasmus+ scholarships for FUNIC lecturers.
Selected lecturers will travel to the Netherlands to participate in a Training of Trainers programme. They will receive advanced training from international experts and return to Cameroon to share their new knowledge and skills with our students and fellow lecturers.

This project is another important step in FUNIC’s commitment to providing international education and preparing graduates who can compete anywhere in the world.

We sincerely thank the Netherlands Business Academy and the Erasmus+ Programme for this opportunity and look forward to creating even more international opportunities for our students and staff.

Over the past years, as the Founder of Fotabe University of Cameroon- FUNIC Cameroon, I have had the privilege of mentoring many of young people. One thing has become increasingly clear to me: we have been asking them the wrong question.

We keep asking them, “What do you want to study?” when perhaps we should first be asking, “What do you want to become?”

That simple question inspired me to create the FUNIC Discovery Passport. It is a fun, interactive career orientation handbook that helps young people discover the four career pathways through which graduates create wealth and build successful careers. Through games, missions, puzzles and challenges, it helps students identify the pathway that best matches their interests before deciding what to study.

Like many of the ideas I have created over the years, I know this one too will eventually be copied. And that’s okay. Real innovation does not stop at creating one idea. It keeps creating the next one. My hope is that this innovation will inspire better career guidance for young people everywhere.

I believe that when a young person first discovers who they want to become, choosing what to study becomes much easier.
