1. I am Julie Mbonda B, I work at CMA Kumba Town , Cameroon. It's a wonderful experience that I started working even before I completed studies. I perform not only ultrasound but also do ECG. All thanks to my profession and the training I received from HIAMS. Elsewhere it's difficult to find a job even after having thousands of degrees at hand. I'm saying this because I left the University of Buea with a degree but I wasn't clear of what I was going to do for myself to earn a salary. I took it was a good decision after mentorship from Mr Ngwese Roland, a staff of the ultrasound programme at HIAMS, to study ultrasonography at HIAMS. Today I find myself in the job market even more than some friends who have had master’s and doctorate degrees. I want to thank Mr Boyo too because I remember in his MLT classes at UB, he will always talk about ultrasound to us as complimentary to our studies with great employment opportunities. Although it seemed like business then to me, that he was advertising HIAMS, I can now say I made a wonderful choice studying ultrasound. The first time I heard about ultrasound was from Mr Boyo; thanks Sir. Hospital wise I think I have become someone who inspires some medical doctors that professionalism pays a lot. Two medical doctors (general practitioners), I work with have gone to specialize in radiology, last year and this year from Kumba and more nurses are wishing their younger ones study ultrasound at HIAMS.

2. I am Jobain Francisca Mbu. One of the Pioneer Sonographers trained in HIAMS in 2010-2012 after my BSc. in Microbiology from University of Buea. Worked with HIAMS as an Instructor/Business Coordinator and Program Coordinator from 2012-2016. Currently working at CMA Mutengene Cameroon. I am happy and grateful to Mr. Boyo for creating the program and doing all within his powers to change the lives of young Cameroonians. The Doctors I work with are greatly satisfied with what I give them. Patients always end up being very happy because they always leave the hospital with solutions to their problems. Most of them describe me as their "final bus stop". I get so many referrals sent by patients who have done an ultrasound with us. I hope and wish we all join our hands and minds to foster this initiative. Thank you very much Mr. Boyo. Thanks to all our junior Sonographers. I am proud of what you are becoming. Let’s put all our strength to make sure we stay on top. We have to impress not only the doctors but everyone who makes use of our services.

Hi everyone! I am Hanna Marilyn Iya, I have been working in Padre Pio Hospital Douala Cameroon for almost 5 years now. So proud of my lecturers and Mr Boyo for giving us the opportunity to learn in this field. I am indispensable in the Hospital.
