The presence of donors alongside our team within the community significantly enhances trust and confidence among the beneficiaries we serve.

In this regard, , in collaboration with , recently conducted a joint field visit to Teke village in the Kumba III Sub-Division of the Meme Division. This visit provided our donors with the opportunity to engage directly with community members and the children benefiting from the Temporary Learning Space (TLS). This facility was constructed and equipped by FIEDwith technical support from UNICEF and funding from the Union (ECHO).

Through this intervention, the children of Teke will continue to learn in a safe and protective environment.

World Humanitarian Day 2026, observed on August 19, is a global tribute to aid workers who risk their lives in humanitarian service. ECHO II Successfully Concludes, Paving Way for III - Exhibition Impresses Cameroon

ECHO II Close-Out & ECHO III Launch Meeting

The * for INCLUSIVE EDUCATION - joined other humanitarian partners to mark the *successful end of the ECHO II project* and the official launch of * III, aimed at *Strengthening Access to Education in Emergencies including WASH and Protection for Crisis-Affected Children in Cameroon’s North West and South West Regions.

The two-day review and planning meeting brought together key actors in the Education in Emergencies response to take stock of achievements, share lessons learnt, and chart the way forward for the next phase.

Exhibition & Marketplace Spotlight
As part of the event, FIED showcased an exposition and marketplace featuring:
- Contextualized education materials developed and used during ECHO II
- Inclusive learning kits and child protection tools
- Audio-visual projections highlighting field activities, classroom transformations, WASH interventions, and testimonies from children, teachers, and parents in hard-to-reach communities

The exhibition provided a practical demonstration of how inclusive education is delivered in crisis contexts.

The Deputy Representative of Cameroon, who visited the FIED stand, expressed strong satisfaction with the work done so far. He commended ’s commitment, innovation, and impact on the ground, particularly in reaching the most marginalized children, children with disabilities, and internally displaced children in the NW/SW regions.
