Most children have been exposed to sexual immorality either by the kind of dresses, language, dance steps and even sexual activities practiced by adults in their presence. some are victims of sexual assault by some unscrupulous uncles, neighbors, cousins and even biological parents in some cases.

According to the Cameroon penal code, sexual abuse/exploitation on any child below the age of 14(fourteen) is punishable by law and might equally lead to life imprisonment, irrespective of their relationship with the victim.

Whatever you let a child get knowledge of in their most vulnerable and tender ages is likely to become a lifestyle for them, reasons why we at Royalty World in the establishment of the Royalty Day Care and School Scholarship believe that the early years of their growth is an important time to nurture children’s love for learning, to foster their overall wellbeing and also set the foundation stage for their adulthood lives. ROYALTY WORLD: CELEBRATING AND COMMEMORATING THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD, ( IDAC).

Since the Sweto uprising in 1976 the global community has invested significant efforts to ensure the wellbeing of the African Child. This year’s celebration centers around the theme: “Eliminating harmful practices affecting children; progress on policy and practice since 2013.” To commemorate the Day of the African Child, we join the world to take stock and evaluate progress on the practices and policies adopted to eliminate harmful practices against children, while reflecting on what more can be done to improve the livelihood of our children.

Royalty World seeks to build thriving communities with functional families flourishing socially and economically, our mission is to envision, empower, equip and engage youths especially girls between the ages of 12-25 for holistic and responsible nation building. Therefore, the African child is our primary stakeholder in the development process.

We created the Royalty Day Care (RDC) to enable kids in Bolifamba and beyond thrive by creating a safe space where they are nurtured and allowed to fully explore their childhood genius. We are confident these kids are emerging leaders. Through the Scholarship Program we coach, mentor and educate youth especially adolescent girls, equipping them to fully emerge as the community leaders they are.

In collaboration with The National Commission of Human Rights we celebrate in a parent – children forum with the objectives to

• Raise awareness on the need for parental psycho-social support in trauma healing.

• Educate community members on Children’s rights, Child Abuse (especially gender-based violence), and the community’s role in sound upbringing of children, consequences and good practices that directly or indirectly affect the wellbeing of children.

• Create a platform to exchange with children and help them express their fears and joys through artistic performances.
