ST BERNARD DRESS CODE
Students should make the best of their appearance in order to be good examples to others. Students are expected to dress in a manner appropriate as persons aspiring to be future leaders. The following standards should be observed. SECTION A: General Prescription for all Students
1. Dressing should be characterised by neatness and cleanliness.
2. Dirty and faded uniforms will not be allowed on campus.
3. Face caps, and head scars of any kind, shall not be worn by students on campus
4. Wearing all sorts of slippers as footwear is not allowed.
5. Jewellery and cosmetics other than small earrings will not be allowed.
6. Sunglasses shall not be worn on the premises unless on a medical doctor’s advice. SECTION B: Dress Prescription for Girls
1. Uniforms must be decently sewn and worn, and skirts must be slightly below the knee level.
2. Girls may plait their hair in a unique manner, eight corn-row (Bakala) or simply shave.
3. Extreme styles e.g. painted hair, dreadlocks etc. are not allowed.
4. Multiple earrings or nose rings and studs are not allowed. SECTION C: Dress Prescription for Boys
1. Uniforms must be decently sewn and worn.
2. Earrings for boys are totally prohibited.
3. Kempt hair must be maintained. SECTION E: Making and Receiving calls:
Phones are not allowed on the premises. STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT
1.1 Students of St Bernard must have registered into the school.
1.2 Must obey all the rules and regulations governing the school in and out of campus.
1.3 No student should be absent from classes without prior notification.
1.4 No student should leave the campus without a signed exit from the school administration.
1.5 All students must dress properly and neatly as prescribed by the school.
1.6 No student is authorized to sell items of any sort on campus.
1.7 Celebrating birthdays on campus is strictly forbidden.
1.8 Phones are prohibited. No student should be seen with a phone on campus.
1.9 Dismissed students shall forfeit all rights as a student of the institution.
1.10 School Fee is not transferrable.
1.11 Dismissed students shall not receive any reimbursement of school fees.
1.12 Students should not bring any item or weapon that could cause injury to anyone on or out of campus.
1.13 All students must maintain a high level of discipline and decency while in class.
1.14 Should a student destroy any property of the school, the said student shall replace it.
1.15 Should a student scale the fence, the student will face the disciplinary council.
1.16 Should a student be caught or found guilty of writing on the wall, the said student shall
disciplinary council.
1.17 Should any student disrespect the teachers or school authorities, the said student shall face the disciplinary council.
1.18 Any student caught with banned substances (drugs) or seen consuming hard drugs shall be instantly dismissed or handed to the forces of law and order.
1.19 Every student must be able to sing the school Anthem and the National Anthem.
