As we enter the final week of our Holiday Boost camp, we are taking our Champions journey to another level!

This week, our students will be celebrated as Daily Champions, with each day highlighting a different quality and skill that contributes to becoming a well-rounded young leader. And today, we begin with ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

🏆 Today’s Entrepreneurship Champion: Mbome Eti Nzelle Syvia

Syvia stood out through her ability to think beyond the obvious, embrace creativity, identify possibilities, and approach challenges with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Entrepreneurship is not only about starting a business. For a secondary school student, it is also about learning to see opportunities where others see obstacles, solving problems creatively, taking initiative, and having the courage to turn an idea into action.

At G.I.S.S Buea, we believe that these qualities must be nurtured early. Our goal is to raise young people who don't simply wait for opportunities, but learn how to create them. 🌱

Today, Sylvia represents that spirit of creative thinking, initiative, courage, and innovation. Congratulations, Sylvia!

Theme Week 6: Leaving a Legacy
"Champions are remembered not for what they achieved alone, but for the lives they positively influence."
This is it — our final week.

Our Champions are rehearsing their pitches, reflecting on six weeks of growth, and preparing to step forward with confidence — not just to close a holiday programme, but to begin the first chapter of the legacy they will build for life.

DAY 19/24: LEAD WITH INTEGRITY

True champions influence others through character before authority.

Today's focus is Communication & Emotional Intelligence — our Champions are practicing peer plan review and mentoring, learning to give and receive feedback with respect, and to really listen before they respond.

"I create value by solving real problems for real people."

Reflection question for parents:
Ask your child, "What feedback did you give or receive today, and how did you handle it?"

DAY 18/24: LEAD WITH INTEGRITY

A business plan that promises more than it can honestly deliver is built on the wrong foundation. Leadership means writing numbers you can stand behind.
Today's focus is Honesty & Responsibility — our Champions are working on the costing and growth goals of their draft business plans, learning that every figure they write down is a promise they must be able to keep.

Ask your child, "What number or promise in your plan did you make sure was completely honest today?"

DAY 17/24: LEAD WITH INTEGRITY

True champions influence others through character before authority.
Today's focus is Leadership — our Champions are learning that real leadership isn't about giving orders, it's about setting the example. Today, they take turns leading a class activity and discovering what it feels like to be trusted.
"I lead through my character, not my title."

Ask your child, "What did you do today that showed leadership, even without being told to?"

Today's focus is Creativity & Innovation — our Champions are learning to name the real risks facing their ideas and think creatively about how to reduce them, because innovation isn't just inventing — it's also protecting what you've built.
